    I am writing to formally file a complaint against Ecovole regarding their failure to honor the incentive credit (Illinois Shines program) that was promised as part of our agreement.

    We participated in a program with Ecovole where we were assured a specific incentive or rebate/credit upon completion of certain qualifying steps (e.g., installation of solar panels, system activation). There were many delays we encountered before installation could be complete. We were told there would be a representative on site to consult with the power company for approval but no one showed. Once activated there were many emails sent regarding the credit(2x in May, 3x June and once in July so far) We fulfilled all obligations on our end; however, despite multiple follow-ups, the incentive credit has not been issued.

    I have attempted to contact Ecovole on multiple occasions via email and phone, but I have either received vague promises, been redirected without resolution, or received no response at all. This ongoing delay and lack of communication is unacceptable, and I believe it reflects poor business practices and a failure to honor their commitments to customers.

    I am requesting that Ecovole promptly issue the incentive credit that was promised, as per the original terms of our agreement.

This complaint / message can be closed, as our team is still actively working with Shines / Carbon Solutions on the filing of the SREC incentive. As we are the "contractor" and not the sales origination company, we process in the order in which the installation occur.     Last summer Ecovole Solar installed 13 solar panels on my roof. They were never turned on. In November I had to get a sky light replaced and those people said I had to get a panel removed so they could replace the sky light. Ecovole removed the panel and set it by the fence. I called them a week or so later when the sky light had been replaced to replace the panel. They couldn't replace it in the winter. I have been calling every few weeks since spring to find out when they could replace it. They keep saying they'll check on it but never get back to me.

We also sent *** ****** our ACH form to assist him with his gutter repairs, as well as add (1) additional loan payment to that reimbursement as a kind gesture and our apologies for how long this has taken.     On 12/7/2024, I was approached by a solar sales representative working on behalf of AMP SMART (Titanium Solar) and Ecovole. I was told I was only signing to “lock in” a financing rate and check eligibility—not entering into a binding agreement. I made it clear I wasn’t ready to commit and needed to review everything with my spouse.

    Despite this, documents were submitted under misleading circumstances—including a Bank Account Verification form that I did not sign (forged) on 2/12/25. An incorrect email address was used for my account, and I did not receive any contract materials until months later, after Ecovole attempted to proceed with installation without my consent (3/13/25).

    When I declined to move forward, Ecovole threatened (and has stated they are moving forward with) a $13,000 cancellation fee and a lien on my home, despite the fact that no system was installed, key terms were never explained (including the 3 day right to cancel), and I lawfully exercised my right to cancel pursuant to KRS 367.430(3). I’ve submitted certified documentation and sent multiple emails, but Ecovole has not responded.

    I also contacted AMP SMART, who initially claimed the sales rep had been terminated and legal action was underway. I later learned this was false and that the rep was still employed. AMP SMART has refused to confirm in writing what, if anything, was shared with Ecovole.

    Solar panels have been down for 7 months called emailed and still have not got a response on when they are going to be fixed so now I have a loan payment and a huge electric bill

    We had one of there sales man I believe name hoss come to our door and speak to us about there product. He explained we needed to sign there agreement before he could get us numbers on what it would cost and what it would save us to put solar on our house. We signed so we could get the quote and told him via text that we were not interested. He never responded so we thought nothing of it. Now month later we are getting calls saying there ready to install the panels. Or we owe 2500 dollar cancellation fee. This was straigh up a scam and it’s bull shit

    Ecovole installed solar panels on my home December of 2023. I noticed a few months later that I was not getting the return thry promised or quoted. I contacted the company and got no response, and later called Evergy who said they were receiving some return from my panels. I eventually got some help from NEP to set up the app to monitor my panels 2 weeks ago. They informed me 10 out of 18 panels haven't worked since April of 2024. I've been trying to get some help from them unsuccessfully. No one returns my call. I'm so frustrated and unsure what to do next. Please help.

    In June 2024, EcoVole came to my home and installed an electrical solar system. It was to become operational after inspection by another team. When the inspection team arrived a few days later, they determined faults and incompletions that need to be re-done before authorizing turning the system on, saying that as-is it could be a fire hazard. I made several attempts from that day to Nov 2024 to get the job done, but always got the "run-around", giving excuses for not showing or not responding as promised. They did not keep up with the contract terms even though I continued to make monthly payments, eight $86.22 payments to be exact, before I realized that this could be fraud. On Sep 25th, ******* ***** ********* with EcoVole texted me to assure me that she will take over my case and get the team to respond, offering to call the financier ***** ************** to stop payment because the system was non-functional, and that she will initiate refunds. When I called, they refused to stop the payments saying that it remains my responsibility to pay as they continue working on the problem. Furthermore, I never got the promised refunds. In Dec 2024 I acted and stopped the auto-payments, and with your help, I am seeking a way to take legal action against them and halt such fraud from happening to others. I feel betrayed and taken advantage of my trust in humanity, being led with conjecture that later proved to mislead rather than contractually come to completion. I believe I acted in good faith for waiting so long to fix this problem, which they never attempted to resolve. It is within my right to ask for a total refund and the removal of their system, and to bring the site back to its original condition. Sincerely, ****** ************* ******

    Like most of the 33 other complaints about this company, I was told that my electric bill would be eliminated, I would get tax rebates to help pay for the cost of the panels AND a free home security system. We met with our sales person back around March/April of 2023. Our panels were finally installed around August of 2023. There were installation issues, permit issues and final inspection issues. Since then, I have tried MULTIPLE times to get the information needed for our rebates and NO ONE will give me the information. Fast forward to tonight, I noticed we had not generated any power for 2 days (our panels are also not generating as much power as they said we should) and my husband went outside to look at the boxes only to find one of them had malfunctioned. One of the wires got so hot it melted off. I am extremely surprised that our house didn’t catch on fire. I spent 2 hours on the phone with the equipment company and they referred me back to Ecovole and said it was an install issue. I am so tired of the poor customer service and apparent shoddy installation, I will be contacting a contract attorney to see what legal action can be taken.
