    I reached out back in June about air,mouses and ants NaLa management laughed at me and my children reached out to maintenance and someone by the name of ****** said I'm only allowed 2 air conditioners per unit and that no one was bringing anything for my family and continue to laugh. My children have suffered all summer long with this apartment that is extremely too hot for children... Due to me not being able to get any help through Nala I reached out to Independence housing authority months ago about the issue due to work I had a scheduled appointment with HUD for a complaint that was mad which was the same complaint I made with Nala through text messaging and was referred to the maintenance line I have every text from everytime they have contacted me and me contacting them. Nala management this morning put a 500.00 bill on my name for no reason just mad I had to reach out to the housing authority because I first went through Nala about all of my concerns. NaLa management left a note on my door after inspection, I am now scared for my life because someone keeps popping up with door access and keeps putting different things on my door threatening me and my family and though all of this we still have no air through this whole weekend I will be going above and beyond to get justice for my family if someone can please contact me at **********

    Hello, 

     

    Thank you for sending this information to us.  The tenant at the property in question is not being honest at all. 

    Her statements are false and can be proved with the documents I have attached. 

     

    The tenant states that she called our maintenance line and ***** laughed at her, our calls our recorded the recording is attached there was never a laugh from ***** the maintenance manager. 

    The tenant states that her AC was not working from June, during the call the tenant was asked if the AC unit were working and she answered yes. 

    The tenant was given 2 units as is every other unit in the building, if she desired to have additional AC units this would be at her own expense. 

    The tenant states in her message that we charged her 500.00?  I have attached the ledger there are no 500.00 charges at all.  The tenant has never paid anything.  3 payments have been made on her acct and they were all through a local assistance program as you can see on the attached ledger. 

    The tenant states that she sent text messages to the maintenance line, I have attached the log for this tenants number and there are no text messages from this tenant. Only one conversation and that is the one that was recorded and is attached. 

     

    The tenant did call Section 8 to report a complaint and section 8 notified us that there was not evidence of a rodent or bug infestation.

    They observed a leak from one of the AC units and a one hole present in the furnace closet and a non working smoke detector. 

    Our maintenance staff has made several attempts to correct these items and the tenant has not cooperated with allowing maintenance to enter the unit to do so. 

    We have an appointment today to attempt to make these corrects again, we will notify you if the tenant doesn't allow us access. 

     

    There is a phone record from the maintenance tech from last week attached as well to show that attempts have been made to gain access to the tenants unit to correct the 3 items Section 8 pointed out.
