They lack transparency, the app does not save my username & or biometric like all my other cards do. They never mail me a a monthly statement, and after a 2nd attempt to re-key my password, it pops up with a message to call Customer Service- which is closed at this time and probably not open on a Sunday. Very inconvenient, lacks transparency and user friendly. I'll be closing to move all these funds back to Bank of America- Very reliable all the way around.Review from Mary S

**************** is ABYSMAL! I am a business and a consumer client with sizable deposits with Commerce which, in the bizarre and stupid world we live in, one might think gives me better access. It does not. My business credit card was shut off due to "suspicious activity" and the only way I found out was because the card was declined. So, terrible customer service issue #1. Next, I checked my on-line account to see if I could figure out what was going on. Nothing. No notice that the card was on hold or shut down due to suspicious activity and to please call or confirm past purchases like Chase (******************) does. Chase also texts me when there is suspicious activity to immediately confirm or deny. I may be taking my business that direction after I finish this review. Terrible customer service issue #******, I call the number on the back of my card and am routed to the interminable IVR that provides an estimated 16 minute wait time. I wait 27 minutes before anyone answers. Terrible customer service issue #******, the kind agent answers and I admit to feeling less than centered and happy about my experience thus far, but hey! let's be optimistic. I provide my information and issue and he can't help! **************** issue #4 (and NOT his fault. That's the company's fault for not routing me to the appropriate person to begin with!)Now on hold with the next line in this saga and going on 50 minutes of hold with this bank. It's just ALL BAD! Don't do business with them if you expect any help.I try to support local business and have been a proud Commerce Customer for a very long time. I had money removed from my account an hour after I left the bank, and 45 minutes after it closed. I went back to the branch and the teller told me her drawer was short so she was balancing her drawer at the end of the day. She also told me she called me and she did not. I did end up keeping some of the cash I brought in with me that day but it was never deposited. How a bank is allowed to do a cash withdraw from a customers account after business hours and while the customer is not there is beyond me. I was taken advantage ofReview from Abdi M

Today I went in to the Commerce bank location at 12th & Charlotte *** In Kansas City, to cash a check and I was humiliated, denigrated and discriminated against by a clerk lady name **** at the 12th and *******************************. My physical appearance should not cause me to feel ashamed and dismayed at MY bank when I'm merely trying to cash a check, especially when my checking account has 10 times the check amount. When I asked for a supperior, I was told one wasn't available and that everyone here is at the same level. It was very disheartening to find out that a supperior wasn't there to supervise, when I asked for one.Subconscious bigotry ashamed me and cause me to start sweating in the lobby of this bank, a bank that holds and handles all of my hard earned money.What happened to me was wrong on so many levels and Commerce bank leaders out to know what is going on in their banks.Review from Benedict O

They fail to track your information and tell you not to rely on them to do so. I was recommended I keep a seperate log book because their information is generally inaccurate.Depending on location they often will be incredibly rude and unwilling to work with you on issues, citing rules without explaining them to you and then blaming you for their lack of information.I recommend to stay away from this business.Review from Adam R

When I opened my account I specifically stated to the clerk not to place overdraft protection on my account. Since this happened my account has been overdrawn several times costing me $37 for each transaction. I was told since I didn't want overdraft protection that the bank would just deny the payment. I really can't afford these fees. Please help me.Review from Joel P

They have messed up the money in my checking account 3 times in 3 months. Do not bank with Commerce Bank. 800 njmber is useless. They do not have any function.Review from Karin J

My husband has been cashing checks written on a returning customer's Commerce account since I met him in November 2005. Usually he goes to the one on ******* in ******* because it's across the street from the customer's business; for the last 16 years, they have charged him $8 and cashed the check without difficulty. Today he went to the one on ****** in Independence. The cashier questioned his address, which is the address on his driver's license, has been our address since our marriage 9 years ago, and is a single family home owned with 100% equity by me. When he confirmed the address as correct, she declined to cash the check without a hard copy of his ****** Security card "for verification". He provided the number, but she still refused to cash the check without the hard copy, which is stored with his other vital documents in a safe place like normal people do. So he couldn't get paid for the work that he did. As respected members of our community, we would like to warn the rest of the Kansas City metro about this episode of discrimination. Our business can no longer accept checks written on a Commerce account; these customers will need to pay cash up front moving forward. We apologize for this inconvenience and strongly recommend customers in the **** area change banks.
