    I have also filed AG complaint. see that.

    I took my Toyota Camry to TOMCO in April of 2023 for a transmission repair. The charge is $1700.00. I went to pick up my car last week and now the car has $917 worth of damage caused by TOMCO. He also wanted to use some other companies Credit card machine to run my card which I find fraudulent and not correct. That would void out any warranty or proof he even worked on my car. Please call me ************ ** ************* I feel he should help pay for the damages however I have NOT paid him the 1700 owed because he is trying to use some other companies CC machine. I am now hesistant to have him work on any vehicle of mine.

    To Whom It May Concern:

    In response to your letter postmarked August 3, 2023 and received August 5, 2023.  Tomco Transmission Service, Inc. is a two-man business that has been in the same location for over 50 years and across the street 8 years prior.  Our only advertisement is only a one-line ad in the local phonebook.  We have stayed in business by word-of-mouth referrals all these years.  You can’t do that by stealing and cheating customers.

    Mr. Israel’s was advised before picking up his vehicle, that Tomco Transmission Service, Inc. has no way to process a credit card and if we did, I would have to have a different company with the capabilities run the credit card on behave of Tomco.  He was also advised that there would be a fee for running his credit card and he agreed.  He was notified directly by the owner of the company that I had asked to run credit card to see if it was ok and he agreed that it was.  He was also notified in the same conversation what the company name was that would be running the credit card.

    Attached are picture of text messages back and forth keeping him apprised of the process.  He also was aware that some of the parts were coming from overseas and we were at the mercy as to when they would arrive.  Also attached are the photos of the job in progress.  First transmission is out and, on the bench, waiting for parts.  Second photograph showing car up on the life.  Notice the tire and wheel did not have to be removed to take the transmission out and back in.  Maybe the wheel bearing was bad before it was brought to our shop. 

    I have been in contact with Mr. Israel several times regarding the work that was performed on his vehicle and the alleged damages that were caused to his vehicle while in my shop.  I have offered to personally repair the items that he is claiming were damaged, but he has refused to allow me to work on the vehicle.  I would like to resolve this matter in a timely manner and request that the services performed be made payable to Tomco Transmission.

    I am rejecting this response because: you say that you dont have to take the wheel off to remove the transmission.  The wheel was not the issue the half shaft not being tightenes properly was the issue and we both know you have to remove that to take off the transmission. Secondly i have attatched the messages were several times you told me status updates that were lies told me trans was done then days later picture of it not done and torn apart needing to order parts . But ibwas willing to deal with it no choice right. But when i recieved my car back with several things not correct and dangerous i was upset i have since sent a estimate for most of the repairs and have not gotten a response since then im willing to pay .but not near the amount he wants im assuming there is no warranty since receipt is made out to cash and his reviews on line state he wouldn't repair his work. If we take the estimates for the work needed to repair plus the price of the bearing off the bill i will unhappily pay it. But i would atleast like the acknowledgement that he should have checked the vehicle out and made sure it was safe before i left .
