    I hired this company to remove a tree and grind down the *****. The way they performed the ***** grinding was not deep enough to install sod which they knew was my final goal.

    Things started off normally with **** showing up promptly to bid the job. He provided a bid that was similar and competitive with others that I received. He wanted to start immediately (08/11) and did all right on the first day although he drove his equipment and piled tree debris in areas where we had specifically asked him not to. The second day he said he would be 80% done and asked to be paid. I paid him $3,000 (80% of his bid price) but he left early in the afternoon and has not been back. The job is 1/3 done. I've talked to him on the phone and he has been difficult and said that I got what I paid for, which honestly makes no sense. I found damage on my pickup truck in the driveway and upon reviewing my security cameras I found that he had ran a piece of equipment into my truck and didn't inform me. That's when he loaded up everything and left without telling me. He has offered to return $500 but is otherwise refusing to come back and finish the job. I took new bids and it is going to cost me $2,000 to finish what he left undone. To be made whole I need him to return $1,700 to me ( $1,700 + $300 remaining unpaid on his bid equals the amount I will have to pay to get the job finished) and pay for my truck to be repaired. Also amount yet to be determined for the damage he did to my landscaping.
