I am filing a complaint against a company called Window Gang, located in High Ridge Mo. The owner gave us an estimate on a job to clean all the cement areas of our property but left off of the estimate, the part we were most interested in having done. When his employee arrived on the scheduled day, he asked if we would like to add the unlisted section for an additional $74.00. The original estimate was for $842.79. In talking to the owner, he stressed that we could eliminate a section or pay the $74.00. I told the employee that we were cancelling the work and would not pay extra or subtract from the original job. When I asked the employee if this had happened before, the said he was taking ‘The Fifth”. The employee then said that when this situation has happened in the past, he just does the entire job for the amount previously agreed to The job was completed In 3 hours but no furniture or plants were put back into place. The business address is suspect. There was no physical address listed on the estimate. When asked for his address, I was given an address that looked to be an empty section of a small strip mall. Google has no business listed at that location in High Ridge. I want to warn by friends and neighbors about Window Gang. They tried to jackup the price and force us to pay more than we agreed to. They lied to us about this so I have to believe they lied on other issues as well. I can not recommend Window Gang even though they did complete the job.

Our logo, address, phone number and email address are clearly shown on our estimates and invoices. If you go online with ****** and enter our address, it clearly shows a map and a picture of our office with a 10 x 6logoed sign on the building and a 5 x 3 sign on the kiosk at the street. Below the map there is an entry of our company with the address and phone number along with other information about our company.  We are ****** transparent with our estimates so that the customer is given a breakdown and the cost of every service that the customer is requesting. EXAMPLE: THIS customer wanted concrete cleaning for several areas of their property. IF I were to write an estimate stating Clean several areas of concrete with a total cost of ______, without detailing the work, I could see a problem with not being transparent however, the estimate stated Power wash front porch * Power wash sidewalk from front porch to common sidewalk * Power wash driveway from street to beginning of rear turn around *Power wash rear turnaround from garage to grass * Power wash rear patio and steps. This information along with the cost for each area is what was sent in the estimate. The common sidewalk in front of the customers house was not part of the estimate. As the customer stated, it seems that if the area that was missing from the estimate was the most important area that she wanted cleaned it would stand out on the detailed estimate and she would have called about it not being on the estimate. We sent the estimate for the customer to review to make sure that everything that is in the estimate is correct. The customer then approves or declines the estimate. This customer approved the estimate and scheduled the work to be done. When my employee arrived at the customers home, he went over the estimate with the customer before he started, and the customer stated that the common sidewalk was supposed to be part of the work to be done. The customer began yelling and getting irate with him and he called me to determine what to do. I could hear the lady while he was trying to talk to me, and he finally just handed the phone to her. She was yelling stating it was bait & switch and after she stopped yelling, I stated that I would have him measure the area she wanted to have done and work with her on getting it done. She began yelling again that she wasnt going to pay for any more cleaning. I stated that I was sorry for the mix-up and asked her to give the phone back to the employee and he had measured the additional area and stated it would be $75. More for the area.I instructed him to do it at no additional charge for the area due to the misunderstanding. He stated that he would get it taken care of and hung up the phone. He told her that we were going to do it at no additional cost. She continued to yell at him,and he finally walked away and started doing the work. The furniture she stated that was not put back into place were 4 chairs from the patio and 2 plants from the front porch. The husband came out to talk to the employee as he was packing his equipment up and was sidetracked and forgot to put these back onto the porch. HE DID NOT state to the customer as she has written When this situation has happened in the past... As I stated we are extremely transparent with our estimates so that this situation doesnt happen. In closing, the customer did not notice that the estimate had not included as she stated, the main area that she wanted cleaned and when the employee went over the estimate prior to starting the job she realized that it was not part of the approved estimate and did not want to pay for additional services in which we did the additional work at no charge. The husband called me the next day and stated that the employee did a fantastic job and that he was very pleased with the outcome. He also stated that his neighbor came out and wanted to get our information so that he could call us for services. We take pride in our customer service as our reviews show throughout the web. I have given proof of all the things that were misstated in the customerscomments and hope if you read this you will please check us out at windowgang.com.
    Sincerely,
    *********
