Feb 2023- received an alert that a collection item was placed on credit report. After review, learned that account was place by MCA Management. Yet, I have NEVER received notification of debt and/or an opportunity to dispute/validate debt. I have ZERO knowledge of this account. I am requesting the following:
Full deletion/removal of this account from all credit bureaus. Provide date of transactions, medical codes used, location, method of verification, proof of attempt to contact/validate, any other relevant validating documentation.Business Response

I have attached proof of the debt. The address we have is the same one she provided here and we sent several notices along with one that stated if we didn't hear from her it was going on her credit. She also received several statements from ***** ****** ****** ****. We both also emailed her and she should have received EOBs from her insurance company. We also left messages for her. She has ignored all of our letters, phone calls, and emails. Her debt is legitimate so we are not deleting this from her credit.Initial Complaint

I am not liable for this debt with MCA MGMNT CO (Original Creditor: ******* ******* ****** ****) and do not have a contract with any collection agency . They do not provide me with the original application like I asked Proof of copy of original application that includes my signature, Full payment history from original creditor, original agreement showing they can legally collect the debt . this company who isn't the original creditor is harassing me and seeking financial gain. i am not legally obligated to pay them anything due to no original contract between me and them which i would have to provide a signature for any service given.
under the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT , I have the right to privacy which that has been violated.

His dispute is incorrect, we are not harassing him. We have sent him 2 letters, he emailed us a dispute on 1/4/23 wanting proof of the debt which we provided to him on 1/5/23 (also included here) He has a medical bill he didn't pay so the medical provider is allowed to send this to collections. He even signed a sheet of paper that says if it goes to collection he is responsible for all fees. As far as us "seeking financial gain" according to him, we are doing a job to help the client get paid for the service they provided him.Initial Complaint

I am very disturbed and upset with MCA MGMNT CO has not responded back to me I sent a letter requesting the proof of contract . I need these accounts deleted from my credit report they violating my right

First of all, she sent that letter that is attached to this complaint to an address we moved from in 2007, so of course we never received it. Secondly, she already filed a BBB complaint on 10/14/22 that we responded to with the proof of debt. I attached it again in this response. She has not once tried to contact us via phone or email. I have reached out to MEDICAL COMMERCIAL A. They have failed to provide proof of validation regarding a debt that does not belong to me. They have furnished this alleged debt on my consumer report and have failed to validate the alleged claim pursuant to Sec. 809(b)of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and according 609(a)(1)(A), you are required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract, any and all accounts that you post on a credit report. I demand this item be removed from my credit report immediately. MEDICAL COMMERCIAL A you are furnishing inaccurate and incorrect information to the consumer reporting agencies.
The reporting of such inaccurate information has caused severe damage to my character, my reputation, my general mode of living and my ability to obtain credit for personal and house purposes.
You and your inaccurate reporting have damaged my livelihood.

Accurate: correct in all details; exact.
Prohibition: a law or regulation forbidding something

Even if you didn't receive a Form 1099-C, you must report canceled debt as gross income on your tax return.
The IRS Clearly defines a charge off as Gross or Ordinary income, INCOME DOES NOT GET REPORTED ON THE CONSUMER REPORT which in fact makes your reporting of this account inaccurate!

First of all the letter she attached here is
dated 11/3/22 which was not even a week ago. Secondly we already sent her
proof of debt on 1/23/19 and she never contacted us once to clear this
up. She has already turned us into the attorney general and disputed it 5
times with the credit bureaus which we verified the debt each time. I
have attached paperwork showing the original balance due was $149.50 and the
doctor discounted it to 60 to help her out and she never took care of it.Initial Complaint

I called this company about a debt and tried to explain the issue to find out where I needed to send qualifying documents to and was hung up on after being told the account is for my daughter and just pay it. I called back to speak to a supervisor and was again told that this is my daughter just pay the bill. I asked to speak to another supervisor I asked for an email to send my documents to and was told to contact the original company and was told this is your daughter are you serious just pay the bill. I’ve never in life been met with so much unprofessionalism especially while explaining that my daughter was not legally in my custody. All I wanted was an email to send the documents to and they yelled and hung up on me. I did contact the original biller and they are looking into the issue as well. No one should be talked to the way this company talked to me.Business Response

This account is from 6/16/2017 and she has never provided the paperwork proving she is not responsible. All she did was dispute it on * ***** but never called us or sent us any paperwork. Her mail never returned and she never returned any messages. We tried to explain to her yesterday that this is her daughter and she called the ambulance but if she had proof to please send it. We also told her to call the ambulance district to get this straightened out and she refused. We asked her why she didn't provide it in the last 5 years and she claimed she didn't know about it (even though she was disputing it on * ***** and her mail never returned) We asked her to give us the person (s) that was responsible for her daughter and she said "they are dead" We did finally have to hang up on her because we were getting no where with the conversation. We refuse to be screamed at for a 5 year old bill that should have been handled years ago.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I’d like the tapes pulled from these calls. I never yelled and I asked for an email to send the information to and was never given one. It doesn’t matter how old a bill is this is when I found out about it and I am handling it. You can see in the response that they have a definite attitude issue and that needs to be corrected as a company.

Please see attached proof of debt. What she states is not true. We didn't violate any laws or rules and no one needs her signature to put it on her credit. She incurred debts and didn't pay them. She has never responded to any letters, or phone calls. She has not tried to resolve this with us or the ****** ****.
