I called the shop because my vehicle had a code on the dash. When I looked up the code, it was a transmission code, so I called them to talk to them about this. They told me to come in and they would not charge me anything to look at it or take it for a test drive and tell me what was wrong with it. he also said if they had to do anything with it then it would be $165 fee. So I got up there as soon as I pulled in the parking lot my vehicle would not move into gear.

He had my vehicle in there for about 10 minutes. He came out and told me they took the transmission pan down. He told me that my converter inside in the front of the transmission basically separated and exploded inside of the transmission. He told me it was going to cost me $5500 and was joking around and being smart **** like how much do you love your jeep ha ha ha. I was pretty devastated as there was nothing wrong with my transmission prior to this except for the code she told me it was not fixable unless I bought a new transmission. He told me it was so bad it wouldn’t make it 5 five blocks down the road. So I had a tow truck pick it up and take it to a shop that I’ve dealt with for about 40 years.

This gentleman used to rebuild transmissions the first 15 or 20 years he was in business. He pulled the filter off the transmission and put a new one in along with new fluid flushed it out, and the transmission runs perfectly fine. He has drove in it, his self personally for 50 miles just to make sure. Everything is fine. I have no further problems. he also told me the comforter was intact and not separated. He also told me that the filter had the original factory filter on it with the part number as I haven’t had the flood changed since I bought it.
These businesses cannot continue to rip people off. I am a single woman and definitely not really young. I was devastated when they said this to me I gave him an opportunity to do the right thing and give me my $165 back. He refused.
