Premier Auto Leasing sold us a 2011 GMC Acadia that was a salvage title. Premier advertised the vehicle on Marketplace. Nowhere in the ads did it say it was a salvage title. We went to look over the vehicle at *** ******** ******** **. I started it and let it run while I walked all around it looking underneath the entire vehicle ,under the hood, inside checking all functions. Then took it for a test drive, which ****** (yhe name he told us and on the business card ) even went on the test drive answering any questions and told us the vehicle was in great shape and there was nothing wrong with it and that it wouldn’t need anything done to it including, brakes, suspension, etc. We asked if there was ever any issues with it he said,”no”. We drove down the highway and through some neighborhoods and we all talked the entire time. He was very friendly, kind , and ,personable. Not once did he tell us then that it was a salvage title. We returned to the place of business and both of the men were right there the entire time and never mentioned it was salvage title. We went in to do the paperwork to purchase the vehicle and ****** was in a hurry because they were gonna be closing soon, so he rushed us through the paperwork just showing us where to sign. When we got to the title he kept it upside down under his fist just showing us where to sign. He continued to talk about himself ,his life and his vehicles the entire time. We would NEVER would have bought a salvage title vehicle!! He knowingly committed fraud. He knowingly withheld important information that greatly reduces the value of the vehicle in order to charge $6100 and make a sale!!! He didn’t put in the advertising listing that it was a salvage title and he never told us. In fact he told us numerous times nothing was wrong with the vehicle nor was there anything wrong with it in the past. He and the other salesman had numerous opportunities to be honest about the history, condition, and the title brand of the vehicle. We contacted the business but he never will call us back.

    Business Response

They extensively checked the car out. They test drove the car and were still very indecisive. I told them they could come back the following day but they wanted to buy the car. Two weeks later I received a call about the vehicle being a prior salvage. I explained to them when they purchased the vehicle what prior salvage means, and the steps we take to get the title in our name when they purchased the vehicle. We comply with everything that is mandated by the state of Missouri The wife became very argumentative. I cant help if your not allowing me to explain or answer you. When they purchased the vehicle they didn't ask any questions and understood what prior salvage meant. It written on all the paper work that the car was a prior salvage.
