      Predatory, unethical company. I had a wonderful experience with United van Lines until they broke my bike and TV. A week after delivery and all payments were made, Unigroup sends me a revised invoice that I had never seen before with an amount that was ***** over what the original said. Not the quote but the actual final paperwork. was ***** less than the revised invoice they sent. Then they threatened to not fix my bike or TV is I didn't pay the amount on the new invoice they created. Their accounts recieved analyst berated me and threatened me. I had already seen the horrible reviews about this company but I did not know they were connected to United Van Lines.

      I used Mayflower to move from **********, ** to *********, **. During our move some furniture was damaged that could not be repaired. Coffee table improperly lifted and ripped the wood screws out of the legs, a 6ft bookshelf was improperly lifted and the wood screws ripped out of the mid section. Our chest freezer was covered in scratches and dents it didn't have before, among other things. We have a small house so we had to leave the damaged furniture on our patio like a hoarder. I filed a claim for the damage, and I spent 45+ minutes uploading photos to Mayflowers claim form because it stated that providing photos would reduce the chance of a physical inspection. You can only upload 2 photos per item and have to do it 1 item at a time so it took forever. I submitted the claim and heard nothing. 2 weeks later I called UniGroup (who is handling the claim) and talked to ******. She could not care less. Nice enough on the phone, but definitely robotic and very indifferent to my situation. She states that no one has even touched my claim (it's been sitting there for 2 weeks!). Then she says that for anything over $500 they send an inspector or we could do a quick claim and take $500. The mayflower claim form says nothing of any of this. The form says that photos should be enough most of the time, and that on the off chance an inspection might be needed. We really wanted this stuff off of our patio but definitely had over $1000 in damage or repairs and felt that the $685 we asked for was generous so we tried to do an expedited inspection, and basically got the run around between UniGroup and the inspection company. Essentially we were forced to take the $500 because our landlord wanted the stuff off of our patio and no one was smart/motivated enough to get an inspection scheduled. After reading the reviews sounds like the $500 was the right choice because they probably would have denied the entire claim anyway. Customer service was terrible, 0/5 stars.

      Several pieces of furniture arrived with cracks. Pieces of expensive furniture had marks on top on the wood! Back leg of end table was broken off. When I called they said I was too late

      Do Not Use Them!!! They roughly handled our professionally crated marble dresser top and broke it. They didn't climate control our things in storage as promised and their blue moving blankets embedded their fuzz in the melted shellac of our expensive entertainment center. We purchased costly replacement insurance from them and found it useless. They offered us $375 for damage over $20,000 for full replacement value. We didn't even ask for that much, we only asked for $4000 to refinish the entertainment center and replace the broken marble. Now we need to attempt to get an attorney in their home state. They are unscrupulous, and their word means absolutely nothing. Best advice is get rid of all your furniture and used the saved moving cost to buy new things when you get to your new place. NEVER USE this company!!!!!

      I recently used United Van Lines, a subsidiary of Uni Group for a move. I purchased 0$ deductible insurance at a cost of over $300, as most of my furniture is antiques. There agents dropped an antique organ in front of myself and my wife. After the move I placed a claim for repair of the item. When contacted by the companies preferred repair person, he stated the repair would be over $2800, not including a custom mirror that would be needed. United Van Lines was willing to only to reimburse $300. They stated they were only liable for median price of a similar item, despite what their repair person stated was needed for the item that was over 75 years old. They rely on people giving up and not suing them for what they are responsible for. This along with the actual mover marking every item as nicked, scratched, dented and stained when being loaded so as to not be responsible for any issues. Verify comments as they load and unload every item, and do not allow them to mark items as damaged unless you completely agree.

      I have moved 12 times in my life, and United through Mesa Moving and Storage my worst experience ever. Their customer service was insensitive, and arrogant. They lost items in transit, and did permanent damage to some of our items. While they were able to repair some items, the items they were unable to repair should have been paid for through insurance. Instead they gave ** a measly $575, where they should have provided nearly $5000 for the items that they lost and count not repair. The United insurance department could not have cared less, and did all they could to properly compensate us, even when I offered a settlement of less than half of what we were owed.United could not care less about its customers, and does all they can to pocket the money you spend on insurance. You are then left stuck with damaged items and in our case damaged antiques that cannot be replaced. Shame on United for behaving this way

      This was the worst experience you could have with movers. Started off bad and ended horrible! Our stuff came from ** to **** and by the time it was here many things were destroyed...my deceased mother's belongings had been thrown around and damaged to the point that the adjusters could not find a way to complete a repair. The claims department would not and was not capable of handling even a small conversation...they wanted to pay for all the damage but in order to pay me wanted only one of the severely damaged items as if to use or sell it on their own...smh...25 phone calls and literally ********************************************************************************************************************* anyway!

      We contracted with United Van Lines to move our items from ************* to Four ********** *******. It was the biggest mistake we ever encountered in the relocation services industry. Basically our items we moved out of ************* with care, things wrapped properly and we were told we would have the same shipping containers in *******. What we received in various panel trucks were items unwrapped, stored in heat, so much damage, scratches, marks and as an example, the leather sofa was not half way wrapped in plastic with a bike and grill on top of it indenting the sofa and ruining all the cushions.No one has control overt the process, the various outsourced companies or employees. We have been lied to and in the end when you reach the executive customer service, all you get is now you have to work another 40 hours with our claim service for resolution.Now that is another problem, so all of this, no apology or acceptance for what transpired, the claims department low ***** you on your claim and then keeps asking for the same things over and over and over...Advice: Question your move company, find out who and where your times will be handled in the process, question the quality control and don't go through what we have gone through with UniGroup / United Van Lines.
