When we first got our floating floor and stairs done by Honest Mikes we loved the work. The floors looked beautiful, but not long after we started having issues. The first thing we noticed were the gaps appearing in between the flooring. Then we noticed sections beginning to buckle up, as well as gaps big enough to fit my fingers between the stair treads and risers. We reached out and told **** that our stair nose would be coming in at a later date and he agreed to put it on for us when it came in. When it came in I tried for months to reach out to him to schedule a time for him to come out and put it on. It wasnt until my husband messaged him that he finally responded and came out. This is when he left a *********************/dent on our floor from whacking the bowing pieces back down. He then told us that the issue with the floor separating was due to humidity. This obviously didnt solve the problem, because we still have buckling and areas separating. After all of this we asked a local flooring company to come out and take a look at our floors. They tested our humidity and even mentioned that as a waterproof flooring humidity should not be an issue. They told us that the bowing and separation are from the pieces not being properly connected and/or forced together rather than clicked. In July one of the stairs cracked in half literally falling into two pieces, luckily no one was hurt. We have now been advised to completely take out our flooring/stairs and reinstall properly before more start to crack. Its unfortunate that all of this happened in less than a year since our flooring project was completed.
