      I booked two cabins over the telephone at River's Edge Resort in October 2021 for my daughter's wedding to be held next door in October 2022. A full year in advance. I even paid in full for $1,832.90 via PayPal immediately. My daughter decided to have the wedding elsewhere and I called today to cancel my reservation. I was informed by ****** that River's Edge Resort has a policy to retain 20% or $366.58 of the cancellation. ****** claimed to have told me of the policy back in October 2021 when I booked the reservation, but I can assure you I was never made aware of it. In fact, I would not have paid the reservation in full if I was aware of such a ludicrous policy. I was not furnished anything verbally or in writing nor on my receipts that details such a consumer gouging policy. If it was the last minute, I would understand but this reservation is a full EIGHT MONTHS IN THE FUTURE. This company is attempting to scam unsuspecting consumers and should be ashamed of themselves. BUYER BEWARE!
