    On December 29th I purchased a wedding dress and veil from Andrew Jackson in Cape. I had not been out of the store more than 15 minutes when I received a call from the store telling me that they would not be able to order the dress I had chosen in time for my July 2022 wedding. I was told that the transaction would be voided and that I would not be charged the $1,403.40. I was also told I would be emailed a receipt. I called the store on December 30th because I had not received the refund nor had I received a receipt of the voided transaction. I was sent a receipt on December 30th for a different amount but was never refunded. I left a message at the store on January 1st inquiring about my refund. My call was not returned until January 3rd. I told the store clerk that I still had not received my refund and she said she would look into it and call me back as soon as she could. I have been waiting almost 4 hours now and no one has returned my call and they have not refunded my money. The funds have cleared my account as is evidenced by the photo below. I need assistance getting my refund from this business. I am owed $1,403.40. I called the store again and was told that the refund was processed but it was not. The funds have cleared my bank and the business has received my money and is refusing to give it back!

    On Sept 17, 2022 my son was killed in a traffic accident which was one month prior to my daughters wedding. We had decided after the accident that he would want his sister to go ahead with the wedding. Andrew Jackson Bridal in ************** was the business we had purchased my daughters wedding dress, my mother of the brides dress, the flower girls dress, all the tuxedos, and accessories. We spent thousands of dollars there. When my daughter called to cancel my sons tux still weeks ahead, they told her we could not have a refund unless we showed them a death certificate. Of course we were completely offended by that! She called them back and after some back and forth they were going to use his obituary that they were going to print. When my husband, the father of the bride came in to pick up his tux which by the way was 2 inches too short, they said he had to get the refund from their boss who was in a meeting!! I am completely appalled by their business practices and their lack of empathy for their customers! I would give them 0 stars if I could! I just want to share this as much as possible so this doesnt happen to other people. Andrew Jackson Bridal should not be in the people business if they dont care about real people and the REAL things that happens to them! I really dont know how they sleep at night knowing that an extremely grieving family trying to keep it together and just wants their daughter to have a blessed wedding day has to worry about a refund for $150 out of the thousands that they spent. I will never stop telling this story! Ever! Andrew Jackson should lock the doors forever! I will do my best to make sure this happens!!!

    The bride did come into the store with her friend and made us aware of the unfortunate death of her brother. I told them that we would 100% refund the entire amount the tux. Even though, by doing so, it goes against our policy, but in such a tragic event, we would proceed with the full refund of the tux. We just request per store policy, for some form of proof before a refund is given due to past experiences. The friend of the bride (which was with her) asked us if it was ok if she herself could send us the information to take care of the situation so the family did not have to, I agreed. As soon as we saw the obituary which was sent to us 9/12/22 - we refunded the full amount of the tuxedo. In addition we refunded another tuxedo of the family along with taking care of the brides alteration bill to show our empathy and gratitude. Our heart breaks for the family and we do not try to make things anymore difficult. We truly do appreciate all the business they brought to us and our deepest condolences and prayers go out to the entire family.
