    Sincerely,

******* ****nd coils ($1,101.30) and an induction system cleaning procedure ($225.36) totaling at $1,520.97 with the other fees. On February 9th I tried to start my vehicle with the remote and it would not start. I tried to start the vehicle with the key and when the engine started, my car started to shake and my lights on the dash started flashing. I took my car back to the shop and had them inspect it. They called back several hours later stating that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. I take the car back and continue to drive it. Again, on February 25th my check engine light comes on again. I take it back to the shop and yet again, they try and tell me nothing is wrong. After having them keep it another day, they stated that my catalytic converter needs replaced ($1,999) and it is not covered under the warranty. They completely misdiagnosed the problem, costing me $1,500 to replace spark plugs that did not need to be replaced and they refuse to admit that they made a mistake.

    Dear Kaitlyn,

I want to sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced. At All Star Automotive, we take concerns like yours very seriously, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

Please know that our intention is to work with you toward a fair resolution.

Regarding your vehicle, I understand that you initially had the codes read at a parts store, where they were reportedly cleared. When your vehicle arrived at our shop, the check engine light was not on, and the only stored codes in the system were related to a misfire. Since we can only diagnose and recommend repairs based on what we can confirm during our inspection, we suggested replacing the spark plugs and ignition coils based on the misfire codes we found. Additionally, we verified through our digital inspection system that the check engine light was not illuminated when your car was in our care.

That being said, we truly want to work with you to resolve this in a way that is fair. While we stand by the work performed based on the available diagnostic information at the time, we are willing to refund the cost of the parts ($656.92) in good faith. If you would like to proceed with this refund, please contact us so we can make arrangements for you to pick it up, or we can mail it to you.

Additionally, if you decide to move forward with replacing the catalytic converters, we would be happy to offer them to you at our employee pricing10% over cost on parts and a significantly discounted labor rate.
Please give us a call at your earliest convenience so we can discuss how best to assist you. We value your business and would like the opportunity to make this right.

    Best regards,
