    In November 2023 I hired a roofer **** Greer to replace the roof of my home. I was a travel nurse At the time and I had my bank issue him a check for 3 fourths of the job. He wanted all material money and half labor. I was working 7 hours away at the time. I come home for him to inspect the roof and give me a bid. He gave me total of like ******. Job starts and he kept lying to me over and over. Roof gets ripped off and then he decides he needs more money I said no that's not the agreement. Shingles, new ridge venting and materials were not yet delivered he stops the delivery and at that time I had roof inspected by another roofer because something felt wrong. The other guy almost fell through the roof the roof with all new decking according to **** Greer. He showed me photos of horrible work that would have leaked in no time. At that ti.e I asked for my materials and refund or FULL refund, his choice. I got neither. Since then I was diagnosed with ******************** and cannot even attempt to get on the roof. I had a hay tarp and other tarps on roof but they failed. Now my home is FULL OF MOLD AND uninhabitable. He wouldn't even give me the supplies to have the roof finished by someone else. I'm homeless disabled and financially ruined now. All from 1 man that did not care he destroyed my home. All the contents are a loss as well. My home insurance dropped me due to my inability to get the roof secured. To which I understand and do not blame the insurance company. I blame the roofer that took my money and didn't care he destroyed my home. But being disabled I can't work and make more money to fix this. I'm at a loss as to how to get my loss covered.

    If u had an email I could forward the entire text thread to it would be very beneficial to my side of the story. Since the entire thread is about 30 emails worth of photos and documentation of me attempting to get the roofer to communicate with me and each email having multiple screen shots within the body it would be too much information to send this route. 
    I now have no idea what to do and being my husband died 10 years ago. Home maintenance was one of the things he would handle. Ive been trying my best and even though **** Greer quoted the job higher that others he had a reputation for good work. When i felt things werent looking right and feeling off i started asking questions and that is why i have a ton of texts between us both.
    I've been trying to just educate myself on things as I hire them out.  while I saved and saved for 2 years this roofer completely left me in a situation unable to recover from. All my husband's items are destroyed. Including all my child's life memories. I sadly wish I had never attempted to have a roof put on my home. And wish I had just dealt with a small leak. On the 2nd story because now I've lost everything and will attach recent photos from the water damage.

    This is the condition of my roof when the roofer asked for more money and I asked another roofer to inspect his work. I had already paid him 75% of job and the remaining balance wasn't due until completion. After the roof was inspected.
    I attempted to get the roof covered with tarps to prevent damage. I hired this out to a friend of a friend and they dud the best they could but the tarps did not hold through the winter. And my ******* a total loss. 
    **** Greer took my money and never supplied my materials or refunded any funds.
