    We received Estimate No. 5933 from Wolff Electrical Services on June 4, 2025, outlining labor and material costs for the following:Replacement of the existing electrical panel Upgrade to a 200 Amp Meter Base with a 2" conduit mast Addition of a dedicated circuit for a sump pump We approved it with an online signature on June 13, 2025, and immediately followed up via email to confirm a 50% downpayment check was in the mail (we preferred not to pay the extra 3% for credit card use). We also asked when they could schedule the work.This was our fifth major electrical project with Wolff since 2020. We had not only used them repeatedly, but also referred them to friends, neighbors, and colleagues.Shortly after our approval, we received this message:"A--------,We have received your approval for your project. At this time, we are going to decline the opportunity to work on your project. We are going to refer you to two other electrical contractors: A-- (314) -and L----636) --. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve ****** explanation was given. I called several times until the owner answered. He said he was unaware of the situation and would follow up after speaking with his staff. He never did. We had already mailed the downpayment and had to follow up multiple times to confirm it wouldnt be deposited. On our third call, the office finally confirmed the check was voided and texted us a photo as proof.This last-minute cancellation delayed our renovation, forced us to take time off to collect new bids, and disrupted other contractors depending on the electrical work. One of the referrals quoted us $4,295.04 more than Wolffs estimate.This company should be avoided at all costs. They dont stand by their own quote, disregard loyal clients, and drop projects without notice or explanation. After five years of business, we were cast aside without a second thought. Proceed with extreme cautionor better yet, take your business elsewhere.

    As stated, before it's up to the company to decide if they want to do business with its customers. A customer cannot force us to do business with them. we took no money from you, nor did we not give you options. We just choose not to do business with you.
