I have contacted the account above several times in reference to this account not being mine. This company has illegally reported on my credit report. There is no email, no evidence, no phone call. I have no idea who these people are. I’m planning to apply for a mortgage and it’s come to my attention that this collection on my record could hurt my ability to qualify. I truly believe that it would help me immensely if you could contact them to help me get this inaccurate item removed off my report on all credit bureaus ********* ******* *** ***********

    Business Response

    Account
Resolution Corporation (ARC) received this complaint ******** on 2/25/23.
    The consumer
indicates in the complaint that the consumer has contacted ARC several times in
reference to the account not being the responsibility of the consumer. The
consumer believes the account is inaccurate and should be removed from
reporting to the credit reporting agencies. The consumer’s desired resolution
is for ARC to correct the credit reporting.
    The consumer
called ARC on 2/24/23. While identifying the consumer and the account, the call
was terminated by the consumer.  This is
the only time the consumer has contacted ARC.  ARC has made multiple attempts to reach the
consumer with no success.  ARC has
responded to multiple verification and dispute requests the consumer has made
to the credit reporting agencies.  ARC is
not aware of any inaccuracy with the account.
    ARC mailed the
consumer an FTC Identity Theft Victim’s Complaint and Affidavit with the
validation of debt on 2/24/23. If the consumer completes the Complaint and
Affidavit form and returns it notarized with a police report to ARC, ARC will
continue the investigation and review of the account.
***** ** ***** ***, President of ARC attempted to call the consumer on 2/23/23, however, Mr.
**** was not able to reach the consumer. ARC would like the consumer to know
that their office is available to discuss the account/complaint at any time. As
it relates to the consumer’s request that the account is removed from credit
reporting, ARC would like the consumer to know that the policy of ARC is to
credit report accurately. Since the consumer was sent supporting documentation
for the debt, ARC has not received a notarized FTC Identity Theft Victim’s
Complaint and Affidavit with a police report, and ARC has attempted to reach
the consumer, there was nothing further for ARC to do at this time as it
relates to the complaint. However, ARC remains available to discuss the
complaint with the consumer at any time.
    Our office is
in receipt of complaint ******** on 2/25/23. For all the reasons identified
above, our office is closing the complaint with an explanation.
    Our office
considers this complaint resolved. Please contact our office if you have any
    additional questions. Thank you.

consumer believes his consumer rights were violated. The consumer’s desired
resolution is for the account to be removed from his credit report.
    ARC is not
aware of any consumer violations with the account. The account was placed at
