KAB Electric came and removed a 3 yr old 10KW solar system off my house so that I could get the hail damaged shingles replaced. They then reinstalled the solar system onto my metal shop building and added an additional 3KW of solar panels to the system to boost the total production. Less than six months later, the 13KW system is no longer producing any where near it's maximum potential and for some reason, I can't get KAB Electric to come back to diagnose what is wrong with it. They will not return a phone call whenever I leave a message, and if I get someone to actually answer their phone, all I hear is excuses why they are busy and someone will call me back to discuss the problem and/or schedule an appointment.The original solar installer is from northern MO and now won't come all the way here to diagnose a problem either because they say they didn't install the system onto my shop, and therefore anything that *** have gone wrong is now up to KAB Electric to fix.In an effort to trouble shoot myself, and in looking over KAB's electrical wiring in my shop where the solar ties to my electric service, I found numerous wiring errors on their part. They installed a 220v 60a breaker that was damaged with parts of it's plastic body broken off. No parts of the broken off plastic was located within my service panel, meaning that it was broken prior to KAB's installation and should never have been installed by them. That breaker was rattling audibly inside the service panel and was very hot to the touch due to it's broken, loose condition. It could have started a fire. Also, KAB had left strands of the stranded wires out from under the bolts where the wiring attaches to both the neutral bar and the ground bar. An 8yr old could attach wiring more properly than that!Bottom line for me is this: when the chips are down, KAB Electric has let me down and can not be trusted to service what they sell and install. IMHO, KAB Electric is not a good company to do your electrical project with.
