Original agreement was regrading, dirt where needed, reseeding the lawn. Started in January with drainage. In late January ***** confirmed where to put the outlet for the irrigation system controller since they hoped to start the rest of the work soon. He said they had won the SB celebration contract to prep union station. He apologized for the delays but had to wait for the concrete to be poured before they could continue. He said they’d make my yard look nice because he couldn’t stomach the thought of driving by regularly & seeing seed taking forever to grow out front so would put sod down at same cost. I was surprised but thankful. Many more delays due to their contract to prep union station lawn for the NFL draft & due to the concrete guy. Work finally started in May. Other than a couple hands full of seed tossed down on a couple spots, no grading or dirt brought in to fill areas trenched for drainage or other low spots. No sod laid in the front. No work generally on the yard. His wife stopped by in late May to explain that the sod was only if the front yard had been torn up by the concrete work so they would only seed & fertilize in a few weeks. Since no one returned, I kept asking. Then I was told it was too hot then was told they had fertilized when the seed was put down but other than a couple hand fills of seed, nothing was put down. One Saturday morning in late July I was mowing when **** waved me down & said ***** sent him over to mow and spray ********* to hopefully kill the crabgrass. When he finished he said they’d be back in a month or so to aerate and overseed so reminded him to have the utility lines marked before they did. He said he would remind them when he got back to the shop. In late August, I inquired as to when they would be back & was told they never said they would aerate and overseed. As of Sept 4, I was told via text that they were going to clear out the crab grass, verticut and aerate, seed and probably level off areas that may need it.
