My experience working with Kat was extremely disappointing. It is important to first note that Kat broke her contract and did not show up to my wedding reception! She did not inform myself or my husband she would not be there. Instead she sent an assistant whom I had never met. We have had no contact after the event. The reception was a disaster where I was in tears and my husband was so stressed trying to put out fires and consul me. I called Kat when we arrived, at the reception, because I was so confused where to go because nothing was as we had discussed when we had walked through only a few weeks prior. She still did not disclose she was not there. Besides the reception the whole process of working with Kat was stressful. She does not pay attention to detail and left me feeling the whole weight of planning the wedding was on me. We had hired her for full coordination. I had to ask several times to meet so we could make a budget. It was always on my shoulders to make sure we were staying on budget. I made it clear I wanted her to send my mother notices of when bills were due and she failed to do this on multiple occasions. On our invitations, she put a rsvp date that was prior to the received date. I made her aware that this was embarrassing and I expressed what I was wanting from her as a planner several times. It was so hard for me to trust her to do thinks because she continued to make mistakes and drop the ball. Myself, husband, and mother had to constantly check that she was doing the things she said she would do. We also had to be the ones to ask what we should be working on next. If we didn’t ask she never told us anything we needed to work on. My sister had gotten married the previous year in another state. I had to get copies of lists from her planner to know what we should be working on. The list of problems goes on and on. Planning my wedding was a horrible experience that I never want someone else to go through. There are many wedding planners in STL. Please do not put yourself through the nightmare.
