- The initial $1,000 deposit is non refundable, but applied towards the total costs of the solar electric system. The $1,000 deposit is non refundable, since it is spent completing the site review, solar design/plan, and submission of required documents to the utility company to gain approval for the solar installation. There are no exchanges, however, the products installed have 10 to 25 year warranties.
