    I had requested an on line pool closing and never received timely confirmation (at least 2 week delay) and by the time I finally got an email confirmation with date and time of closing, I had already scheduled another pool company closing because I wasnt even sure my online request went through to Pool Products Direct. So I immediately wrote an email reply requesting to please cancel my pool closing, and explained the rationale why: that the online request and customer service was much to be desired and that I didnt get any confirmation and therefore scheduled another company to close my pool. Also, I commented that another reason for my cancellation was that I wasnt wanting to get charged double (as their email stated would happen) if I didnt request the correct pool closing at time of request. The email didnt even state WHAT I ORIGINALLY REQUESTED and I didnt know that the request went through, let alone what the request asked them to do exactly. The email reply I got from the company President, was unbelievably rude, he actually stated, Your problem is you and not our customer service. We close over **** local pools and those people figure it out. Maybe check your spam folder for your initial "AUTOMATIC" APPOINTMENT EMAILED CONFIRMATION. We've been doing everything online since **** so it's too bad you lack the technology mindset. I normally don't respond in such a rude tone but you felt the need to voice your opinion so take mine as well.I do not feel I was rude to this company, and that was not in any way my goal. I was giving them genuine feedback as to why I was cancelling. I would think that any company would want that constructive criticism. I was appalled by their response & wanted other potential customers to know about it.

    Here are the facts.1)This company has NEVER provided any swimming pool related services for this customer and NEVER *********** person went to our website and scheduled a fall swimming pool closing. 3)We provided via email her assigned pool closing appointment date. We did so without delay as per the instructions that she read when she completed the online service request.4)She emails us and proceeds to claim that we threatened her in our appointment confirmation email. Note: Our appointment date email is a form that includes the assigned appointment date along with pool preparation instructions for the customer. This email has been sent to ****** customers over the last 20 years and weve NEVER been accused of threatening a ************* her email she feels the need to criticize this company and blames us for why she is cancelling the appointment. 6)I responded to her negative email in the very same tone that she initiated, and her feelings were hurt. She then felt the need to post a false ****** review on my company and as most people do when they post negative reviews on companies, she paints the Victim picture.7)After her negative ****** review, she then felt the need to send me another condescending and attacking email.8)I then responded to the false and fabricated ****** review and her 2nd attacking email to this company.9)She did not like my responses and now thinks the BBB has the authority to intervein. Our corporate legal counsel has reviewed all exchanged communications to include her ****** review and now her BBB complaint. We are considering our options which include filing a lawsuit against this person for defamation of character and slanderous comments against this company. Prior to our legal counsel filing with the courts, Ive been advised to use this BBB complaint to offer this person 72 hours from the date of this response to either completely remove, or to update her complaint. Specifically, we are requesting that she include her complete initial email sent to this company so that the public forum can draw their conclusion about this situation fairly and without missing or inaccurate information.Ive been instructed to not respond any further to any BBB requests specific to this matter.Respectfully,************ WilsonPresidentMinnesota Residential Aquatics, INCDBA: Pool Products Direct
