On April 11, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. §§ 326B.33, 326B.84 (2)(4)(5)(6) (2022) and Minn. R. 2891.0040, subp. 1H (2021). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to cease and desist from performing or offering to perform electrical work until they are properly licensed; to secure building permits for their construction projects, request timely inspections and ensure work meets the standards of the State Building Code. The business also agreed to correct any violations in a timely manner and provide reasonable supervision over their employees, agents, subcontractors and salespersons. The business will also pay $5,000 from a 2011 Consent Order and a penalty of $5,500.00 will be fully stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
