In April 2023, BBB began receiving complaints from consumers who had submitted documents to K Tax for tax preparation, stating the business was unresponsive to customer calls and e-mails. As of 6/14/23, BBB has not received responses from K Tax to these complaints in process. As BBB continues to seek response to open complaints, impacted customers may also wish to contact the Minnesota Department of Revenue (651-296-3781) for additional assistance.

UPDATE (6/14/23): There is currently a printed sign outside K Tax indicating the following: "Due to a sewer line break, we have been working remotely. The due date for the returns that were dropped off is 10/15/23. The returns are being prepared in the order they were received. All (returns should) be completed within 3 to 4 weeks. If you have immediate questions or need your return prepared immediately, please email us at [email protected] (BBB NOTE: possible typo in e-mail), or [email protected]. We can have it done within 48 hours. Also, please let us know if you are in no rush for your return so we can get back to those who are in a time crunch. Thank you all for your patience."
