The Association is made up of the sheriffs from the 87 Minnesota counties representing a diversity of regions, from agricultural and wilderness, to metropolitan. However, each sheriff has their own unique situation, their duties, responsibilities, and many of the problems they encounter are common to all. The Minnesota Sheriffs' Association offers a variety of trainings to the sheriff and their staff. The training allows for the sheriff and staff to carryout their deputies as professionals, serving the public.
