11 months ago, I'd hired Two Guys And a Truck to move me from my house into an apartment, and it cost me $900. On 8/6/2022, I again hired Two Guys & A Truck to move me 0.9 miles down the street. This time, I was verbally quoted $1500. The owner, ***********************, told me the increase in price was due to the price of everything going up. When the movers arrived, there were 4 men, but **** was not there. After 1/3 to 1/2 of my belongings had been loaded into the truck, one of the men said that he needed to be paid $2000 in cash. I told him that I would only pay ****. When **** arrived, I asked him why the price has suddenly jumped up to $2000, he said it was due to possible extra expenses. He said I may get a partial refund, but he needed the $2000 in cash up front. I asked for a receipt, and he said he would not give me a receipt until he'd figured out the true cost for my bill, because I may get a refund. It has been three days, and I still have not received a receipt, a refund, or any communication from **** or his company. I have now read multiple reviews stating that this company has taken advantage of senior citizens & also asked people for more money a full year after they'd already paid.
