      On 10/06/2023 I filed a claim with 3M, because a defective 3M product destroyed a painting & frame. The case #******** was promised reimbursement. Today I received an email from ******* of 3M Product Application Support denying the claim.

      May 8 ought scotch 3m blue painters tape. I prepared my wood and made sure it was free of any debris to paint my trim. I made 100 percent sure it was put down right ! Tjis was a very important and wxpensive area to be painting. After i had finished I waited fornit to be pretty much dried. After removing the paint bleed through several areas of my paint job onto the wood ! Totally a mess and a huge disappointment to my customer as he watched me pull up the tape! This is taking a day to correct the wood and of course it affects the paint on the trim as well costing me hundreds of dollars. Contacted 3m and they said they would issue a refund for the rolls i used and to put them in the envelope!! Hello news flash its already been used ! What am insuppoed to send you all my painted tape ! I will contact an attonery for cost of repairs to fix the damage and my time doing it. You cant just redund me fornthe tape when the tape made damage !

      I bought a 3m air purifier (FAP-ST02) via Amazon on 8/21/21 for $315. Last night on 4/18/23 the product started malfunctioning and making high pitch noises. The product is now unusable. Upon calling customer service I was advised there was no fix for the issue. When visiting their website to leave a review for the product, I noticed that there were several negative reviews noting the same issue "high pitch" fan noise. I'm wondering at what point it becomes 3m's responsibility to deal with a faulty product. The item is outside the 12-month warranty so I understand why they declined to replace it, but the expected longevity of the item when purchased was not 1.5 years. That seems ridiculous for an item that cost $315 and I would not have purchased it had I known it would work for such a short period of time. Essentially feel like I was sold a lemon.

      Its a financial problem due to lack of quality.Last year I used your window insulation barrier. I put it up and it lasted the whole season through a ** winter.This year the tape didnt hold at all. I tried using it againno results, there are, to this day, constant leaks.4 times now, I used packaging tape in an effort to seal the aira futile attempt. This is costly and time consuming. I want a refund for the two kits I used for patio doors and a replacement kit that works.I wasted a lot of time and energy

      We attempted to upload our childrens birth certificates and our marriage certificate for us to be able to get health insurance. When I called the customer service line he gave me the address to send them in to be manually put into the system. This representative failed to inform me that my documents would be shredded. I called them in May and it is now October and so I called to see when I would be receiving my items back from them and they informed me they shredded my documents, and are refusing to do anything to make the situation better. I now have to pay out of pocket for new ones all because they lacked to inform me what will happen and I need the birth certificates to get my oldest and middle into school. And for me to also get them health insurance through my job.

      I recently made several purchases of Command picture hanger strips to hang pictures in a residence. I ended up throwing most of them in the trash as each time I hung a picture according to what appeared to be the directions, I would find the pictures on the floor each time I returned. I even tried purchasing more strips to try again and each time with the same result. I then sent an email to the company requesting a refund for these strips that don't work. They replied by asking me to call customer service, which I did. The person on the line treated me like I was being interrogated and then indicated that it was my fault the strips did not work. Unfortunately, I don't have all receipts relating to these purchases, but I do have two amounting to over $20. And I did not save any of the failed strips because I was so disgusted with the outcome. I also have one frame that was damaged in the fall to the floor that I have managed to repair somewhat.

      Customer didn't follow all the direction when applying the product.  She doesn't have proof that it was a 3M product she used.  Issuing customer a check for $30.00 as a good will gesture.  We are sorry for your experience.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I would like 3M to know I do have at least two receipts to show that I did use their Command strips.  There were more receipts that I did not keep because I normally do not keep receipts from ******* or ********** type stores.  Thank you for your help.

      So 3m sells these wall hanger products and I decided to buy a multi pack of them whe I moved into my new townhouse. I went by guidelines of weights per instructions and made sure I wasnt even getting close to suggested weights. That was 2019 when I first purchased. Since then my pictures, paintings and such have been falling off the walls at a unacceptable rate. More than 20 have fallen over the past 2 1/2 years. Many frames have broke and obe in particular was a signed print that cost me some good $$. So I went on to 3m site to see if they could help me and maybe get some compensation for damages. Basically they told me they found out that these wall hangers were not holding up like they expected and have since noted on packaging that there are not to be used for any framed art. Well that wasnt in the packaging I bought back in 2019. I sent pictures of broken frames, receipts of replacements etc.., very detailed. They came back and said too bad so sad here is a 3m gift pack????????. If companies are going to sell products that people trust to put family pictures and prints etc it should be researched before selling to the public!!! Damages and replacement costs are over $5k. The ************************* moonfire print was worth $3k alone??????

      We have been working with this customer since March 10th, 2022. He used a 3M Command Hook to hang a picture and it is not a recommended application.  We educated the customer on using 3M Picture Hanging Strips for any and all pictures.  We have sent him out a 3M Gift Box, which he accepted as settlement.  We have closed out the complaint.  Thank you

       I am rejecting this response because:

      There was no warning on the box of product I used. Was only after many other customer complaints they back tracked and started to say this product does not work as it was intended. I used product as described on box I purchased.

      My husband bought the scotch tape that where you measure the tape. We used on boxes and the tape doesn't stay on it that good. I talked to one of the representatives and she was very rude to me and didn't want to help me at all. We are recovering from covid and I'm on oxygen. We paid $30.00 dollars on two rolls of tape. We are on social security disability. We are a disabled couple. Resolution, we want our money back. Thank you.
