**** poured a concrete slab before building me a new deck. I am very unsatisfied with the concrete slab that **** poured. **** did try to fix all of the surface cracks. **** also painted an overlay on the concrete patio to try and cover the cracks. One of the cracks that **** fixed needs to be fixed again. There is also a significant crack in one corner of my patio that could result in me losing part of the concrete slab. The concrete slab was poured right up against the foundation of my house which could damage the foundation. I reached out to **** via email on June 2, 2024 regarding this matter and I never heard back from him.

**** ****** with Decks by Mike is a contractor to avoid at all costs. The most egregious act was voiding a decades-long warranty from ********** composite decking suppliers by not using their fasteners. He is one of **********'s contractors. Additionally, he still needs to finish the job. He left planks unfastened and skirts not attached. He said he would move the minor irrigation lines, but he built stairs over them, causing erosion under the decking and blocking two heads. This led to one zone of lawn not being watered and the loss of new sod. He also used the yard edging as his concrete mold when he poured the patio, causing misshapen concrete and the edging to be sawed in two places. He poured too little concrete so that one edge was exposed where future erosion would occur on a steep incline.Additionally, he could have done other things correctly. **** added a wooden slap against the house that would rot out in time instead of pouring the concrete against the foundation. Half of the stairs have a finished edge, and the other half does not. Although he was heavily used in our neighborhood, he wrote my proposal vaguely.
