I purchased a 2017 **** Expedition July of 2022. I've owned this vehicle for approximately 8 months and the vehicle has needed close to $10000.00 in repairs.I've contacted MTH multiple times in regards to these issues and they resolved a few of the issues and I recently just spent another $600 just to have the engine light come on yet again! This is the 3rd engine code due to the evaporation system in a *******'s time for Mth to refund my money in full! This vehicle in my opinion is a lemon and is also my opinion that they knew this but sold the vehicle anyway!Business Response

We at Minnesota Truck Headquarters strive for great customer satisfaction and don't like hearing when any vehicle we have sold has issues. That being said we have addressed issues multiple times and completed a full cam phaser job of $6000 as goodwill to the customer. This particular issue is being brought to our attention and has never been in our shop for these concerns, rather at another shop you chose. Let me state there is no lemon law on used vehicles and definitely not on vehicles that had almost ******* miles on them at time of purchase. At this point in time we have gone above and beyond to assist the customer. This last instance the vehicle was not in our shop but rather at one of their shops that they stated they trusted more. I only wanted this on record as the complaint made it seem like we couldn't fix the vehicle in our shop or that we have not followed through with it. At this point in time we can assist with fixing the vehicle either by the customer paying or an extended service contract if applicable repairs.Initial Complaint

My fiance and I purchased a vehicle from this dealer ( 16 GMC Acadia ) and they informed us that the vehicle had power steering issues which we appreciated. We took it on a test drive and didn't notice any other issues. We were wondering why they had marked the vehicle down $4,000 from original asking price and vehicle had 300 more miles on it then the mileage on the add in such a short time. He said they knew of no other issues with vehicle and didn't really give a good answer on why it was marked down so much. Definitely wasn't due to a power steering issue which isn't anywhere close to a $4,000 mark ******* live about an hour away from dealer and on the way home after we bought the vehicle, and after the car had a chance to really warm up, we noticed transmission issues. We have been in contact with the general manager of dealer explaining we refuse to believe they didn't know anything about transmission issues considering car had ********************************************************************* such a very short time they had the vehicle for sale on lot. The general manager **************** emailed us and said he will get ahold of us soon for a resolution on what they could do. That was two weeks ago with many emails and phone calls being unanswered.Business Response

Although the Acadia was purchased as-is and disclosed properly we are in communication with the customer and are assisting with the transmission issue. They have gotten their own estimate to fix the transmission issue and we have decided to assist them in saving more than half of the repair through one of our shops. We were never trying to hide anything and our assumption why there was ************************************************************************** it was a sight unseen trade. We value all of our customers and the business they give us! We believe transparency and the truth are the easiest things to have in this business that at times has the reputation of having the opposite. We have come to a common resolution to get their issues fixed and would like the record to state that we are all in agreeance!

I purchased a ******************************** July of 2022. I've owned this vehicle for approximately 6 months and the vehicle has needed close to $5000.00 in repairs.I've contacted MTH multiple times in regards to these issues and they resolved a couple of the issues and said they'd resolve the others at a later date.*** repeatedly attempted to contact MTH to make these other repairs and they refuse to answer any calls or text messages or return any voice mails I've left.Since my last contact with MTH there have been more repairs that I've had to pay for out of pocket that costed almost an additional $1000. I was left stranded on the side of the road at 2am after work because of another breakdown! I feel that buying a vehicle for almost $30,000 that I should be able to drive this vehicle without having to make constant repairs. This vehicle in my opinion is a lemon and is also my opinion that they knew this but sold the vehicle anyway!Business Response

******,
Thanks again for coming into the store to meet with our fixed operations director and myself. I am thrilled that we were able to come to a resolution regarding your 2017 **** Expedition. At this time we have your cam phasers fixed under your Alpha Warranty. We were also able to address your rear rattle that recently developed the rear heating vent in the headliner. It sounds like you are using us now to purchase 4 new tires for the expedition.
As always ******, we are here to help you with any *************** or needs that *** arise.

I am rejecting this response because:
As stated to the business. 2 shops told me the clear coat on the truck is too damaged (thin) for paint correction.
When I let them know this I no longer got a response from the dealer. At the end of the day this dealer is okay with lying about the conditions of vehicles and should not be in business.
truck and I was told it was in immaculate condition. I am looking for a refund or an amount where I can have all the damages resolved.Business Response

In Response to *****************************,
****** purchased his vehicle on (Wednesday) 8/31/2022. On (Saturday) 9/3/2022 ****** brought it to our attention that the vehicle he purchased had swirls in the paint and rock chips on the fender flares and he was told it to be in like-new and perfect used condition. It was at this point I was involved. I looked over the deal in its entirety from the very first message ****** **** to our sales team inquiring about the vehicle, to the very last message in our CRM (Customer ********************* system. After then looking at everything and understanding everything in full, ****** and myself spoke on the phone. I had asked ****** if he had any kind of text messages, emails or written verbiages from anyone on our team that said like-new and perfect used condition. ****** said he did not have any message or verbiage that he could share with me and could not tell me either which person from our organization said it. I also addressed my own concerns during that same phone call about his trade-in vehicle which was of the same year of the vehicle that he purchased from us having multiple rock chips to the hood and front bumper/grille areas, drivers side lower body scratches, and rear bumper ***** that all would need a proper paint correction as well. He agreed that both vehicles were used and that some level of prior-use ownership was needed to take place on both sides. After this was addressed, I agreed to do some research on what it would cost for paint correction on the truck he purchased from us as that was his primary concern. ****** agreed on the dealership paying for the paint correction to be performed. That same day, I called 3 shops in his area that all were familiar with the vehicle he purchased and I was quoted between $600-800 for a vehicle paint correction to be done. The next day I called and informed ******************** of the quotes I was able to secure for him on his vehicle. We both agreed on $1,000 be remitted by the dealership once ****** was able to secure and provide the dealership with a viable invoice for the performed correction. ****** found this to be fair and reasonable and I am still waiting for the work to be completed and invoice to become available. Minnesota Truck Headquarters did not need to do anything on this matter as we have done nothing wrong selling a pre-owned vehicle in Minnesota. However, doing the right thing is one of the core values that makes us who we are. If ****** is still needing information on his service contract that he purchased, please reach out to your salesmen as you have been, or to **** in our finance department on the main phone line at ************ and we will get you taken care of right away. We are happy to help ******************** in any further way needed.
Regards,
**********************

On 8/11/22 I purchased a vehicle and also an extended service warranty for cosmetic issues and mechanical issues. I returned the vehicle for service of a engine check lite and a exhaust smell into the cabin of the vehicle. The service department told me they werent sure they could fix the issue do you the fact it is a high performance vehicle and I need to take it to a high performance mechanic somewhere else that the dealership who sold me the vehicle could not help me due to lack of experience. The exhaust smell is related to the same problem. I requested the dealer to take the vehicle back due to misrepresentation. I was told all sales are final. I was told during the sale process that the dealership would honor the service contact and they arent.Business Response

****,
As you would agree, we have come to a fair and reasonable resolution. We refunded you for the full sale of the 2013 **** Mustang GT as well as purchased the loan back. You found this to be above and beyond acceptable and were grateful for our ability to work with you on the matter.
