MN Ruscoe owes me a grab bar after removing a defective one and now they say they have closed. I was told on Monday 10/20/25 the part had been delivered. I just want the matching grab bar and will pay to have someone else install it. The parent company should either ship me the part or reimburse me.Initial Complaint

MN Rusco installed 2 windows and 2 doors in my home but didnt complete the project - no trim on a sliding door, sliding door lock mechanism does not work so the door cannot be locked, and still need a screen for a bedroom window. We have called and but the company has not responded with a plan to complete the project. I have informed them that I am withholding the final payment installment until the job is completed.Initial Complaint

We ordered a new patio door and paid half down ($4430.00). They ordered the door and we were scheduled for install on Wednesday October 29 between the hours of 8:00 & 10:00. No one showed up and after multiple phone calls to the company with no response, I found out they are out of business. We do not have the door, no one has called us and we want our down-payment of $4430.00 returned to us.Initial Complaint

We had Minnesota Rusco remodel our bathroom in 2022. In August of 2025, I contacted them because a bathroom tile had come loose, they sent someone to look at it and scheduled a repair for October 27, 2025. We then discovered a leak from the toilet. When Rusco came out on October 27, they said it was from faulty installation and removed the toilet, vanity and ripped up all the flooring down to the subflooring. They took responsibility for all of that work and replacement. It was then discovered that our toilet plumbing was not up to code (we did not have them replace the toilet in the initial remodel). In order for them to fix it, we had to purchase a new toilet from them and have them install it, which we did and paid the $2,685.70 on 10/27. It was scheduled to be put in today, October 29th. They never showed up, I called over 12 times leaving messages and no one returned my call. I later found out that it appears they have filed bankruptcy and closed their company. I have disputed the charge at my bank as services never received, filed a complaint with the attorney general and now you. I have a partially gutted bathroom with no toilet or vanity and no flooring.Initial Complaint

Entered a giveaway on their ******** page, and have since been inundated with calls and voicemails asking to discuss my project. They have left at least 8 voicemails, and 10+ calls. They hVe not been contacting me about the giveaway, but to attempt to discuss a new home project with them. I did not give them my contact information to get a quote just to enter the giveaway. It feels excessive to receive ten phone calls and eight emails regarding something I didnt even request. I have tried blocking them, but they use multiple different phone numbers, even masking their calls to appear that they are calling from the same area code as my out of state phone number.Business Response

I purchased over $60,000 worth of windows from MN Rusco. They initially installed most of my windows in May, but they failed to order all the trim pieces so the installers could not complete the job. They came back to complete the work in June, but installed two different window trim styles on the same window. It is now September, and I am still waiting to hear from them when they will fix the mess they made. The City contacted me stating the permit for the job has expired. I contact MN Rusco twice to alert them we need an extension on the permit. Since I never heard back from them, I contacted the City Inspector myself to request the extension. This is ridiculous! Their communication and project management has been horrible! They never call me with updates, and when I call them and get a person on the line almost all the information I have received has been incorrect. To make matter even worse, today I received a call from their Sales team trying to *sell* me windows?!?!? Come on MN Rusco. Finish the job you started and get your project management sorted out!!Business Response

We are sorry to hear that **** is not 100% satisfied with her project. It is unfortunate that one of the large windows came with incorrect casing profiles. ********** has been ordered for the window and will be replaced once received from the manufacturer. The day before this complaint was filed our office had attempted to call her and left a message that the permit mentioned had been handled and was extended an additional *********************************************************** this message we asked that she either call to schedule the final inspection with the city or give us a call back with some days and times that would work for her and we would gladly take care of this. She has not returned our calls.Initial Complaint

On 9/13/2025 ********* ******* ( a Minnesota Rusco sales associate) came out to our house to give us a estimate for a small bathroom remodel. The estimates she gave us was $43,443.55. But after she gave us some bogus deductions: free installation $5,647.66 ( but their television ad stated all labor was free), *************** discount: $1,889.79, Home town hero: $850.41 and took a large cash deposit from us of $1,889.79 which they put in their account instead of us keeping it and have the interest for us. After all these deductions the new price was $33,165.00. I thought this was a high estimate for the parts since the labor was supposed to be free according to their television ad. I asked ********* to send me an itemized parts list with the prices . I looked it over and noticed Minnesota Rusco was charging us $1,285 for mandatory measuring. They were charging us $2,224 on pre 1950s home. Our house was built in 1976 not pre 50s.On the itemize list there was a plumbing charge of $552.98(labor was supposed to be free). The toilet on the list would cost us $1,440.87. I thought that was extremely high priced. When I asked ********* about that price she told me the toilet would cost us around $1,000. Why was it listed at $1.440.87?After finding this price discrepancy I question the price of the vanity, the vanity top, dry space by 48, the dry space brushed single handle faucet, and the vanity deco band. She would not give me a separate price for each item. She put them all together and said those were categorized 75% of the bathroom cost. I was not happy with that answer because of the price discrepancy with the toilet I continued to ask her for the separate prices of other She said if I had any other questions I was supposed to call ***** ******. She thought he already contacted me but he didnt. I had to call the general voice mail. I did but I havent heard from him yet. Hes avoiding my call ?Business Response

We're sorry to hear that Mr. ******** is dissatisfied with any communication from our office. It appears that we have a signed agreement with Mrs. ******** and communications have all been with her. Pricing for all items include our installation labor, which was clearly discounted on the first page of the agreement signed by Mrs. ********* We were in contact with this customer yesterday and have their installation scheduled for this month.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I am not satisfied with Minnesota Ruscos response to my letter. They didnt any of my concerns instead they switch the focus from my concerns to the communication they have had with my wife. I was not home when my wife signed the contract. If I was there the contract would not have been signed. The Minnesota Ruscos TV advertising stated that all labor was free. My wife was not aware of that when she signed the agreement. So when the *** gave her all the bogus discounts the contract looked pretty good to her. When I looked at the contract the price of $33,165 for the parts since the labor was supposed to be free. I contacted the *** and asked her to send me an invoice for all the parts I noticed they charged us $1,285 for mandatory measuring and $592,98 for plumbing installing charge. Both of these should have free according to the TV commercial Also they were charging us $2,224.00 for a a house built prior to 1950s. Our house was built in 1976.
The new toilet listed at $14,40.87 . I questioned the price and the *** told me the toilet should cost around $1,000, then why were they going to charge us $14,40.87. After finding that disc***ancy I wanted to know the individual price for the vanity, the vanity top and several other items she would not give me the individual prices. Then she told me if I had any other questions I should talk to *****. Why did she do that? I asked her for his direct phone number or his e-mail She refused and told me to call the main phone number and leave a message for ***** which I did, but he has never returned my call. If I hadnt asked for the itemized parts list I wouldve have found all the hidden labor costs. I want them to do the job for $22,000 which is the average price of this project the average price in the *********** area.Business Response

We're again sorry to hear that Mr. ******** is dissatisfied with this process. Our discounts as shown on their contract included the free installation/labor that is being discussed. All items selected by Mrs. ******** included the labor/installation costs as they are a packaged price which was then removed with the first discount on the page. We completed a full remodel of the bathroom including flooring, tub, vanity, new door, toilet, grab bars, trim, etc. With the upgraded items Mrs. ******** selected there is not a feasible way for us to have completed this project at $20,000 as requested from Mr. ********* Each time we call to discuss this project we have spoken with Mrs. ********* ***** specifically spoke to her on January 3rd to address these questions and noted that the customer was happy and wanted to proceed forward and to call her once materials arrived.Initial Complaint

We had our windows installed in late 2022. In 2023 I had called them in regards to a window not closing completely. They called back once and said that they would look into it. I never heard back again. I had also called earlier in the year regarding one of the new windows already having a foggy appearance and not one that could be cleaned off. Again had one call back, but that was it with no resolution. In 2024 when painting one of the rooms that had a window installed, I found that the interior trim was not actually secured to the wall. I called on this multiple times. I never heard back from them. Currently all the caulk around the windows is already coming off. We spent around $14,000 on this project and they have neglected us since the install.Business Response

We're sorry to hear that you've been unable to connect with our team. Looking back at call records in 2023 we see a service ticket was created for the item you mentioned. We attempted to reach out to you on September 25th, October 4th, and October 27th to receive pictures of the window you were referencing so we could determine if parts needed to be ordered. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach you including text messages with where to send photos to we closed the ticket on November 20th. We do see additional calls this year on August 8th and 15th during times when our staff were out of the office or on lunch breaks. A voicemail was not received from those calls so we were unaware of additional attempts to reach us. We have forwarded your concerns to our service department and a member of our staff will reach out in the morning.
