I have maintained my certification with NETA for almost 30 years. NETA has always accepted my IFTA credits to renew my certifications before. I sent in my renewal documents on July 10, 2 weeks before my Group Fitness & Personal Trainer certifications expired. I received notification from NETA one day before my certification expired that they would not accept my IFTA credits. NETA has always accepted my IFTA credits before and I did not send in certificates with my name on it before. I sent in the schedule with the course names. I have talked with Jodie, Michael Iserman, and Nicole to no avail. I have requested to speak with Mario but I was told he does not handle customer concerns. I was told that NETA has never accepted IFTA credits and I would have to petition those credits. I told Iserman that I have never had a problem before with NETA not accepting my IFTA credits and that I did not mail in IFTA certificates in the past. I sent Iserman my 2018-2019 NETA recertification form as proof. Jodie told me that NETA does not keep copies of the documentation that customers submit to renew their certifications. I told Iserman that I take IFTA courses every year because I prefer in-person trainings. The reason I did not take IFTA courses for the last renewal cycle was because it was during COVID 19. I have never been late on sending in my documentation before. NETA should have notified me sooner so I could have rectified this matter before I left for China. NETA needs to work on their customer service and their processes. NETA needs to make sure the people who process the recertifications are all on the same page so the customer is not mislead in their recertification procedures. NETA needs a better way of notifying customers if they will not accept their documentation. I paid a $15 late fee to renew my NETA Group Fitness certification because I need this to teach. I want the $15 late fee refunded and I want to renew my Personal Trainer Certification for the $75 price.
