Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:
Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry Consent Order

On December 11, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(1)(8)(9); 326B.33, subd. 12(c); 326B.36; 326B.84 (2)(4)(12)(15) (2022) and Minn. Rule 3800.3540, subp 2 (2021).

Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to ensure that their designated responsible licensed individual is a Minnesota licensed master electrician and is a W-2 employee and to be prohibited from allowing others to use their residential building contractors license for any purpose.  The business also agreed to ensure that all building permits they file relate to a contracted agreement with a Minnesota property owner and to be prohibited from obtaining a building permit for other businesses or entities.  The business further agreed to file for all permits before beginning electrical work; schedule inspections and comply with all inspection reports within 14 days of the report; not to allow others to perform electrical work under the business's permits or requests for inspection and to ensure that all who perform electrical work for the business hold a licensed master or journeyworker or are a registered unlicensed electrician in Minnesota and are properly supervised.   The business will also pay $6,500.00 of a $13,000.00 fine, with the balance stayed  on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the link below.
