This firm did not follow due process, did not act fairly or ethically, and violated MN Rules of Professional Conduct. The attorneys misled and interacted improperly with the court and plaintiff, as well as showcased a lack of competence and integrity in the following ways by: - incorrectly filing for a removal/appeal instead of a limited removal. This error resulted in $750 in attorney fees, 2 additional hearings and hours of time spent preparing for the hearings resulting in lost income.- citing statutes and rules of practice that were not applicable in the case (including stating I was not the prevailing party. The judge confirmed that I was the prevailing party and awarded me the associated fees). - requesting that I sign a Stipulation of Dismissal with Prejudice form (waiving all of my rights) after the court had already entered a decision in my favor, and before I received judgment payment. - emailing exhibits only 3 hours before the hearing (I also never agreed to receive any documents via email).- sending a letter only to the district court judge without including the opposing party. This is considered ex parte communication and is a violation of MN Rule of Professional Conduct 3.5 (g) (2) Impartiality and Decorum of the Tribunal. - sending a deceiving letter to the court stating I had accepted payment in a failed attempt to avoid a motion hearing to allow me to request additional costs. I had refused payment and had not cashed the check mailed to me. - sending me multiple documents to threaten Motion for Rule ************************************************* out of requesting a court fee that I was ultimately awarded by the judge. The above actions of these attorneys were either done intentionally and in bad faith without integrity, or if done by accident, it showcases their incompetence and inability to follow due process and MN Rules of Professional Conduct. All points above can be substantiated by looking at court documents and/or exhibits.
