    We are being cancelled by our insurance company, Westfield, due to "too many incidences". We have been faithful customers of this company well over 10 years (closer to 15), having never submitted a homeowners claim and, for many years, never submitting automobile insurance claims. In the last few years, our daughter has been hit twice by uninsured motorists, totalling one vehicle and nearly totalling another. In another incidence, she was hit by an insured motorist, for minor damage. The company refused to make any concessions based on the many years of payments, not being late, and paying full coverage specifically for occasions like the above. How is this fair to consumers?

    I was with Westfield Insurance from 2017 until February of 2023. Never had an issue until I had a claim- then everything went sideways. In December 2023 I had a deer run into the passenger corner of our truck. Unfortunately this minor accident caused the airbags to deploy due to a sensor in that corner. Within a few hours I was told our truck was being totaled and we were offered much less than ***** blue book and **** values. Asking for comparison and seeing how this was determined was mind blowing. Discussed wanting to keep our truck with the appraiser only to be told to keep our vehicle and have a salvage title we first had to pay it off ourselves vs having the company pay it off, give us the remaining of what would be owed. Otherwise, we had no rights to the truck. The collision shop agreed at my request to do a tear down of the truck for an exact estimate, which led to a much lesser amount (well under the 75% value of the truck). Thankfully, and only because of *************************, we were able to get our truck repaired because legally in ******** the damage has to be 75% value to total. Fast forward a few months my insurance skyrocketed (due to a comprehensive claim). Cancel the policy and move to a different company and now they are scamming again saying I was a month behind with my auto payments and only returning a portion of my homeowners insurance paid in advance by my escrow. I am sure at some point this was a great company as they have been in business for years (which is one of the things I look for when getting insurance) , but along the way they have gotten greedy and dishonest. I have kept several emails regarding the accident to prove a portion of what we went through. In all fairness I should say the woman handling my minor medical claim was wonderful (thank you)! I cant change my experience, but I can warn others to be careful when using this company. I could not imagine if this had been a claim on our home or something worse medically.
