Do NOT get a Target card. I have had a target card for 10 years and really liked it. However, as many other reviews have stated, Target had a system upgrade in March, causing their website to be down. During that time, they incorrectly posted my payment. They said I was $11 short. I have documentation to prove that I paid the full amount due. I faxed that in and they told me they didnt receive it. Meanwhile, they reported me late to the *************. I have never been late. They ended up admitting to a processing error on their part, and credited me back the $11. However, they refuse to update the credit report. Each time I call, its like they have no record or notes of our previous conversations. I feel like Im not being heard. Mistakes happen, and Im understanding of that. Its the poor customer service and refusal to make it right that is really disappointing. I will never shop at target again. Save yourself the headache and just say no to the Target Circle card.

My Target Circle card was stolen on March 11, 2025 and today is July 8, 2025. The thief used the card on March 11, 2025 to purchase over $1400 in **** cards. Police ***ort was filed immediately and I contacted Target immediately. I filled out all the required paper work and kept calling the fraud **** to see if they updated my account which should have a -0- balance since I pay the entire balance on my statement. NOTHING HAS BEEN UPDATED YET and it has been over 90 days. *******(owner of Target card) ***orted this as debt to Experian and my almost perfect credit score has dropped! I am not going to shop at Target until this matter is cleared up! How would you feel if your card was stolen and then you have to go through this frustration and treatment as a delinquent **** *****? That is now what I'm asking the *** I speak to every time I call to monitor the situation! So frustrating! Does anyone know if there is a direct TD number to call about Target ********** issues?

They will not close Red/Circle Cards.Going online there will always be a service error when you try to access card services. Call and someone will spend ten minutes telling you not to close it out before saying "okay it's closed now". It's not closed, they give no confirmation. If you insist on a confirmation they will make up a number they are unable to repeat. If you ask for a written confirmation they say they can't do it by email and need an address but don't ask for a single spelling, correction, anything. I left out a zip on my second attempt and they didn't notice or ask.I had it linked to my bank for debit and had to call the bank to have them removed target's access. In target's computer I'm still a card holder.

Target Credit Card Services is one of the worst run business operations imaginable! I just closed my account over a $9.95 fraudulent charge on my card account because the a**holes stated that they couldn't remove the fraudulent charge until they send me some forms to fill out and have me return the filled out claim form to them! They told me I could pay the $9.95 and I would be reimbursed later of the claim is approved! Bullshit! I told them that there was NO way I was going to pay that $9.95. So they were willing to lose my business over $9.95??? It's no wonder Target is in trouble as a business!!! They won't remain in business very much longer with the poor customer service they have!!! Just try to get one of their customer service representative to connect you to a supervisor!!! They play games with you . . . putting you on hold and just leave you hanging!!! Evidently they are poorly trained and totally unprofessional individuals who are thoroughly unqualified for customer service!!! In short . . . they suck!!!

I have a target card for years no issues. Booked a flight so I could get home from a business trip. After that there was a fraudulent charge. Was never informed. Tried to use my card and was declined. Logged on to the website to see anything was wrong. Nothing on there said anything was wrong. Tried to use my card again then got an email saying card was blocked for fraudulent charge. Was planning on buying groceries. Called and there was nothing the could do for me that day except order a new card. Spoke to a supervisor and everything. Said card will be here Tuesday. It's now Thursday. No card. Called today no card was ordered. Best they can do is get the card on Monday when I'll be on my business trip. Asked for a supervisor and have been hung up on three times. This has been the worst experience I have ever with a credit card company. If I had gotten the notification or some indication on my account of what was going on I wouldn't be upset and have card before my trip.

Ordered DoorDash then found out out of Tex mex healthy choice then went to target url then saw they werent out but not sure about restock or warehouse process and DoorDash didnt replace with the lemon chicken max that target url showed they had but I think the DoorDash app doesnt have lemon chicken as an option even if the store does which could be a correct process depending on how the rules work so I replacement is no good and I dont get what I wanted.

I have been a Target card holder for decades. My husband works for Target. I have never had a bad experience, but they recently underwent "site maintenance" for "upgrades" to the payment site. I can now say that I have had the worst experience of my life with any credit card company, EVER! It started in March, when the site was down for at least a week. Prior to the site going down, I had scheduled a payment to pay off entire balance (usually what I do), but when I went back into the site once it was up again, there was no record of my scheduled payment. So I scheduled another payment to pay off the balance in full. Well, both payments were posted and debited from my bank account on the due date. That was on March 21st, 2025. I have been on the phone with customer service 10 times since then and have still not received my refund back on the overpayment, which is around $3000!!! I was told initially that they cannot reverse the charge and that a paper check would have to be issued (7-10 business days), which is crazy to me. Especially when the overpayment was a direct result of site error. I have been told 3 times over that the check was reissued and mailed again, and then also told that a check was never reissued and that they will rectify and send another check. Literally, every time I get on the phone with someone it is a different story. At this point, this is blatant theft and I may need to seek legal council.

I was informed that there needed to be additional check on my account. That was supposed to be 3 minutes. That was over 20 minutes ago.I have not used this card in over a month due to frustration too numerous to go into.I seldom seem to be able to enter the right pin. and the beat goes on.

I use a Red Card Debit card for target which charges my checking account when I use it in store. I changed checking accounts and went to update my banking information but the online service to do so was closed for a week. On 3/17/25 I shopped in target and scanned my app for coupons, but the transaction also processed a payment to my red card. I assumed that since they shut their website down for a week, they would process the payment when my banking was updated. I then received a letter in the mail that I owed a service charge on top of my transaction charge. On 4/1/25 I called to inform them of the situation and they initially refused to waive the service charge of $50. Eventually, I was told I could have my fee waived for this one time despite their website being down being a cause of the issue. In that same call I authorized a payment from my checking account for the total of the transaction. On 4/21/25 I received another letter stating it was a final notice for the amount of the transaction with no service charge. I called customer service and was informed that they incorrectly recorded my account number and could not process the payment I authorized 3 weeks prior. They told me they could not take a debit card payment via phone and my only other option was to mail in a check. I asked why a letter wasnt sent stating that they were unable to process the transaction and was not given an answer. They did inform me that no 3rd letter would be sent and the matter would be referred to collections after 3 months. I opted to mail a check, as the first time they incorrectly processed my payment, and asked for a confirmation letter that the check was received. They stated that they were unable to process a letter for receipt of payment without me calling back after the check was cashed and requesting one. My issues were caused by a series of errors caused by Target Card and they refuse to take responsibility or to apologize for the issue.
