    Minnesota Dept. of Commerce Consent Order

    On June, 21, 2022 the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The Consent Order settles allegations that the business breached their fiduciary duty of reasonable care under Minn. Stat. 82.67 subd. 3 by not ensuring the correct security deposit amount was listed on a lease, a violation of Minn. Stat. 82.82, subd. 1(e) (2020); had listing agreements which did not have a definite end date, a violation of Minn. Stat. 82.66 subd. v(1) (2020) and had listing agreements which failed to have the required compensation notice, a violation of Minn. Stat. 82.66, subd. b(8) (2020). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to pay $4000 of a $7500 civil penalty, with the balance stayed with compliance to law, rule or orders under Minnesota Dept. of Commerce authority and the business will cease and desist from violating any laws, rules or orders under Minnesota Department of Commerce and pay $146.25 in investigation costs. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link.

    Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Consent Order

    On June 20,2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business acted as or claimed to be a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer in Minnesota, without being licensed by DLI, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.805, subds 1 and 3 (2022) and that the business offered to perform or performed electrical and plumbing work without DLI licenses, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.33 and 326B.46 (2022). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to cease and desist from acting or claiming to be a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer in Minnesota until they are properly licensed. The business also agreed to cease and desist from performing or offering to perform electrical and plumbing work without DLI licenses.  The business further agreed that if they construct or improve residential real estate in Minnesota, they must have their own residential building contractor license or hire a licensed contractor to perform the work and all plumbing and electrical work must be completed by a licensed contractor.   The business will also pay $2,000.00 of a $7,000.00 fine, with the balance stayed  on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
