On March 30, 2022, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(8), 326B.33 subds. 7, 14, 15, 16; 326B.84 (2) (2020) and Minn. R. 2891.0040, subp. 1G (2021). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to ensure that each individual who performs technology systems work for the business hold a power-limited technician license or registration as an unlicensed power limited technician and that all individuals who perform technology systems work for the business are owners, offices, or W-2 employees of the business and if the designated responsible licensed power limited technician ceases to be eligible, they will immediately notify DLI and submit a replacement technician. The business also agreed to pay $2,000.00 of a $6,000.00 penalty, with the balance stayed on the condition that the business complies with the terms of the Consent Order.
