On November 9, 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business's application for a residential building contractor's license would be denied per Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(1)(2)(5)(8)(9); 326B.095 and 326B.84 (1)(2)(5)(7)(11)(14)(15) (2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, subp 1A and 2891.050, subp. 1A, 1C and 2 (2021). Under terms of the Order, the license is granted and the business agreed to only transact business in their licensed name, promptly respond to DLI requests for information; notify DLI if they are found to be a judgement debtor within 15 days and satisfy or appeal any judgements within 30 days. The business also agreed if they file bankruptcy, they will notify DLI within 15 days. The business will also have a $25,000.00 fine, with the full balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
