On 12/15/23, I brought my car in because my heater is not working. When calling, they said it could be the thermostat, but bring it in and they would look. On 12/15, I was told my car would be ready within 2 hours, and they would contact me when ready. The next day I called them since I had not received an update. At this point they told me my car wouldnt be ready until Monday. On Monday I called because I had no update, and was then told it would be Tuesday or Wednesday when my car would be ready. I was told I would get a discount on the repair due to having no car for 5 days. The next day on 12/19, I was contacted and have a voicemail on my phone in which I was told that my car is fixed and ready to go, that it had been tested and the heater is working really well. I went up to Grease Monkey on my lunch break, and they made me pay prior to giving me my keys. I did - which turned out to be $619.85 (30.99 of this was for a headlight they replaced). Once I got in my car to head back to work, I noticed the heater did not in fact work. I brought the car back and let them know - at which point the mechanic said he didnt do a diagnostic test because he was told to just replace the thermostat, which clearly wasnt the issue. I told them I wanted to have them take out the theromostat they put in (the part alone was over $400), and refund me for that service since it did not address the info. They tried saying that they could do another fix, but didnt want to take the thermostat out. I wound up speaking with their district manager *************************** - who told me with little empathy he did not believe I should get a refund since I was charged for a thermostat and they did replace it. After getting nowhere, I have called his regional manager ***************************** multiple times with no call back, along with contacting their corporate office and being told multiple times I would get a call back within 24 hours - which has yet to happen. My car broke down due to the coolant now.
