    Well, I originally posted back on 2/11/24 regarding taking so long to process my son's deer pelt. The response at the time from Foxx and Furs was a bunch of reasons that I accepted at the time as a "resolution." Within the companies response, they indicated that I was incorrect on it taking two years with no resolution and no pelt delivered. I am reposting with a new update here in mid-October 2024--still no completed pelt. We are coming up on the two year anniversary of my young man's shooting his first deer, and us dropping off the single pelt on 10/22/22. Still no deer, and the company has stopped responding to occasional inquiries sent via email, their customer service website, and phone call. I wouldn't be so persistent if it wasn't for the memory of the event. I am frustrated and disappointed in this Minnesota company and wondering what my options are at this point. I highly suggest shopping other options if you want your product back and reliable customer service.

    USA FOXX & FURS is  aware of this order not being completed. We are currently working on a batch of big game that includes old orders of deer and bear. Once this is done we will contact the customer directly to notify him of the order is ready to collect payment and ship out.

     I am rejecting this response because:

    This is the same response that has been given in past inquiries and complaints.  We are coming up on the two-year anniversary of initial drop-off.  In business, how many times and for how long is a reasonable wait time for customers in the industry?  Trust in the company and its process is gone.  I have referred the situation to the attorney generals office and look forward to a resolution involving the return of the skin or completion of a processed white tailed deer pelt.

    ******** & FURS is working on the customers hide and will complete it and contact the customer when it is ready to ship. With high influx of hides to process with the combination of labor shortages, this is causing back logs of work. If the customer is unwilling to wait for the completion of his specific hide, there are options to complete the order. USA **** & **** could purchase the hide from the customers. The other option is USA FOXX & FURS could fulfill the order with a different completed whitetail hide.

    Sent 72" Oregon Beaver pelt to be tanned in June 2022. Paid for tanning. Was told process would take one year, it has been two years. The company will not respond to emails or phone calls.

    By the end of July USA FOXX should be finishing and shipping most of the beaver from 2022 season. If your hide is not completed and shipped we can either send you a replacement hide or refund your money.

    Unfortunate update to my original complaint......

     

    The vendor was supposed to tan the fur and send me back my beaver pelt by end of July.  It is September 7th and I have not received it, and they will not answer my emails.

     

    I am concerned they "lost" the beaver pelt I sent them.  It was a spectacular pelt from ******, a "super blanket" over 72", +++ size.  When I spoke to **** early this spring 2024 he indicated my fur

     

    may have become mixed in with others.  Unacceptable.  All furs are marked individually upon arrival.   I sent the beaver fur to them over two years ago, where is it?

    p.s.  *****, I have a north American mammal collection that I take to schools to teach kids about critters, ******* were big part of Amercian history, this specimen was remarkable, which 

     

    is why I'm fighting to get it back, the tanning service was under $50 but they managed to lose a great fur and ignore my requests for its return

    Usa foxx is still completing orders from 2022 including beaver. There is approximately 400 beaver pelts from this time frame to complete and ship. We will notify the customer when his ships. If the customer does not want to wait for his exact beaver to be completed, Usa foxx can send a completed beaver pelt from our stock to fulfill the order.

    I provided ***************** 17 beaver hides total and 2 fox hides to be tanned. The first order was in 2020 which contained 7 beaver hides and 1 fox hide. Originally they were suppose to make me some pillows but after 2 years I canceled the order as they were taking way to long. Unfortunately in 2021 I sent them 10 more beaver hides and another fox to be tanned. I still have not received anything from them. I have spoken to the owner, ****** at least a dozen times, a shipping clerk named *** 3 times and a female named "****". I received promises of dates when they would be shipped out and I have not received anything. Every time I call I get the exact same response almost verbatim, as if they are reading it off a que card. I have over $500 invested in skinning/fletching and shipping on these orders. I either want reimbursed my money or my order completed. I see from customer complaints that they do this to everyone. How do they remain in business?????

    My sons first white tailed deer everpelt brought in Nov 2022. Still no returned pelt as of Feb 10, ****. I have a very sad young man. I am incredibly frustrated to have worked with ********* and the long term effect not getting our finished hide back for his memory. Emails, calls, inquiries all result in delay responsesit will come, we see your batch numbers coming in now wont be long, we told you due to Covid and supply chain issues etcoriginally told **** months on a large pelt, then ***** months, now we are headed into 2 yrs. Im not confident in this business and their honesty with customers at this point. Not even concerned about cost/bill/charges at this pointjust dont like memories ripped from a young man if he doesnt receive his pelt back.

               Deer hides take approximately a year. This means that depending on many factors it can be faster or slower. Your hide was logged in 10/28/2022, so to claim that we are into a 2nd year is not correct. Two years for your order is over 8 months away yet.  You chose not to pay the higher expedited tanning fee so we do them as quickly as we can and when they are done we reach out to you. We tan roughly ***** skins each season so each year can vary by several months depending on the harvest for each season.  Rest assured we will reach out to you as soon as it is complete. 
               It is correct that we have been finishing deer hides with a few big groups late fall and we have been wrapping up the remaining 50 or so deer that are left to process.  We finished about 15 deer hides last week and are finish groups of deer roughly every ***** days.

    We will certainly call you at ************ once it is complete to have you pick up and pay for the hide.

    I sent four beaver pelts to the company, requesting them to be tanned and one of them to also be made into mittens. This was in June 2022. I emailed them in September 2022 and July 2023 requesting an order update but neither of those emails received a reply. I was able to get them by phone in July ********************************************************** "4-6 weeks." It's now Jan **** and I still have not received any communication from them. Looking at their ****** reviews, I am far and away not the only person who this has happened to (some claim they've been waiting 5+ yrs). They never even issued an order number. The only information they would have on file for me is my name and email address (*************************, *************************

    The order number for ************************* is ****** and invoice number for tanning and shipping the items to two different locations is invoice number *****. We understand we are behind on processing their order and are working as hard as we can to finish this order. We currently have 200 units that are in final stages of completion. With this said if the customer is tired of waiting we can offer 2 alternative options. 1st option would be we could offer replacement units of what they sent for processing and we could fulfill the order immediately upon payment received. The 2nd option would be that ******** offers to pay the customer market value for the raw unfinished goods that was sent in for processing and void the order. ******** will be working on the actual order and will be in contact with the customer directly when the order is ready for shipment.

     I am rejecting this response because:
    I would like an ***************** estimate for the products if I choose to stick with the original furs that I sent in (i.e., not replacing with equivalent product). Please include an update regarding where in the process my furs are. My previous phone call and this last message (and a large number of ****** reviews) stated that many units are within 4-6 weeks of completion, but I'm inclined to believe that's a misleading statement; I believe there are many units nearing completion, but I don't know if mine are part of that batch. I'd like to know where MY units are at the moment and what that means for a delivery date. Once I have that information, I will make a decision based on the choices outlined in *******'s most recent message.

    I sent eight beaver skins to *** ************ April 2020 to be flushed and tanned a 12-month process. As of the writing of this complaint nearly 3 years later I still do not have my first and when I inquire they keep telling me the same thing half of them are done and half of them are lost we're still trying to find them.

    I'm filing a follow-up complaint to my previous complaint which is labeled resolved because *** ************ told the BBB that my order was complete they were ************ and we're going to contact me on January 10th... As of February 1st I still have not been contacted.

    We did call the customer on January 10th, **** at ************ stating that the order was complete and awaiting payment.  We have not hear back from the customer.  We will call the customer again and email to try and collect payment so the order can be shipped out.
