      I purchased a bumper pull camper camper (new) from KV**, (******* **) then wife and I attempted to go south for the winter. We had so many issues from leaking water (rain) etc. we turned around and came home. Took camper back to the dealership and we We were talked into purchasing a fifth wheel camper, and advised we would like this ** a lot better. So we spent several more thousands again on the first 2021 unit that came had came out in 2020. We also purchased a 3/4 ton Chev. Pickup for the fifth wheel. (Then pay the ** to put the fifth wheel in the pickup.)We did not use this camper more than a few times. And did not go south. (Some panelling on the slide out started to fall of. The linoleum flooring next to the door started ripping. The plywood board underneath our bed broke in was sliding off. The ** had flaws that were never repaired. The gauges for the water tank didnt work. We had issues with the water faucet in the kitchen cracked. As well as other issues. So because of fathers death, as well as brothers death, I was lucky enough to catch the Covid virus. Ended up in the hospital for five days.We finally called and said we are going to bring the camper in for the warranty work. (Bumper to bumper). (First week of December). After a couple weeks having the camper at *************, which was purchased from KV** in the ******* I called to see if the work was done. I spoke to ******, he told me that its done and I could pick it up tonight or tomorrow (Saturday). I said I would come in the am on Saturday. On Saturday around ***** am I arrived to pick up our camper. **** The salesman, which was very good to us, was very busy with three other customers. I questioned if I could go back and hook up and get our camper ready and Ill stop at the office. **** waved and said go ahead. I wont back backed up to the fifth wheel camper checked all the lights and made sure all the doors were locked etc. upon pulling the camper out of that spot I had to make a turn and then drive straight to the office. After I straightened the vehicle out I heard a loud bang, hit the brakes and look back to see if anything was wrong. I seen nothing wrong so I continue to drive straight to the office at approximately one to 2 miles an hour. I got out of the vehicle and observed my fifth wheel hitch was at a 90 angle. I attempted to unhook the camper which was jammed in the fifth wheel. No help the salesman was the only one there and he couldnt come out of the office. I spent at least two hours trying to get the camper unhooked and my fifth wheel unhook from the camper.(Apparently the business was purchased from ****** who was the former owner, and sold to the ************* , who owned a few other ** dealerships.). Apparently the fifth wheel unhooked from the pickup. The hitch unhooked and hit my tale gate. (Bent the tailgate in a U shape.). (I didnt notice until I got out of the pickup and went back and seen the damage that was unnoticeable from the cab. ( I worked 2-3 hours trying to get fifth wheel unhooked from the pickup. ). **** finally came out after the store closed at 5. I questioned **** what do I do with the damage? **** said I should turn it into my Insurance. I advised that I had a 500. Deductible. I said this isnt my fault. Its negligence on the part of you guys. **** called ****** and the maintenance guy who worked on the **. ****** wouldnt talk to me. The maintenance guy told me he was sorry, they take a fifth wheel plate so they can move the **s around with the Bobcat, and he forgot to put it on. ****** told me it was my fault. I asked why is that. ****** said its my ** and I should know that. I said I had no idea of the plate you took of, nor was I showed many things on the **. Plus the fact I have never owned a fifth wheel before. ****** said I should get my insurance to pay for the damage. I said you should pay for it out of negligence. Im not even out of your lot and you say its my fault? You said it was ready to pickup, and I took you at your word. I called ****** 3-days in a roll. He would not return my calls. And you said you would take care of it and you never did. Until the fourth day you said youd call me right back. And that was only after I told you I had left messages for *********************** at the other business place they own. And I never received a call back from them either. To my surprise you (******) did call me back the next day and said you would take care of the cost that were incurred by the repairs. I said the repair shouldve been taken care of with the warranty. He claimed we stuck a rock under the slide out to rip the rug. I advised Thats not true and it should all be covered under the warranty. I dont have nothing else to say other than he had talk to *********************** and thats what they had decided upon. The **** that shouldve been covered under the warranty was only 400 and some dollars. My deductible is 500. My insurance had to cover the rest of the damage that was caused by your employee. And no I have not had my pick up in over a week because they cant get parts. So theres also a rental car involved. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Why should I have to pay the $500 deductible, and then that is on my insurance report.
