    I am the owner of a 2017 **** F-150 (Vin#*****************) which has the 3.5L Ecoboost engine. I experienced failure in the Cam Phaser rattle back in 2020-2021 and after several visits to my **** dealership, I was finally able to have the defective parts replaced under the **** customer satisfaction extended warranty program in August of 2021. **** covered a percentage of the repair as this was a known issue due to a defective design with the locking pin. After speaking with several mechanics as well as the service department at ****, the part has since been reengineered for all vehicles 2021 and beyond. Even though I feel the initial repair should have been covered 100% by ****, I reluctantly paid $800 to replace the parts in 2021 as the vehicle sounded like a diesel engine every time it started. After the repair was complete, the truck performed like it should for the next 25k miles or 1.5 years.Unfortunately, the rattle started again the Spring of 2023. Periodic rattle sound initially and now occurs upon every start. I made an appointment with the North Country Ford in **** Rapids MN who replaced the cam phasers in ************************************************************************************************************** need of replacement again. Prior to bringing my truck back in to diagnose this recent issue, I researched reoccurring cam phaser issues with the Ecoboost and discovered there were several reports that **** authorized reinstalling the same faulty part that caused the rattle in the first place. I am confident that I am again one of the recipients of the faulty cam phasers.North Country Ford is aware of my claim and suggested I open a claim within **** as they indicated they cannot honor another replacement since the truck has over ******* miles. ** speaking with **** Customer Care, they suggested I contact the BBB as this will help escalate the issue within **** and/or North Country Ford service *****

    I do not recommend North Country Ford! Stay away! (Please note the manipulative, pathetic response to this complaint, by the dealership after this is posted on the BBB. Do not "buy" into any of this dealership's hogwash! They manipulate you to get whatever capital gains they can). Look up their reviews on the BBB, Yelp and wherever else you might find an "honest" assessment of this poor dealership!! (And don't pay attention to the fake reviews!) ************************** I previously worked at a dealership in New York and I quit because of how deceitful they were! Beware, you have been warned! (Do not buy into the whole "good family man" bios or the five yellow stars next to any of the names. The web creator can put in anything they want to appeal to gullible customers.) I am USMC Veteran, honorably medically discharged for injuries sustained. I have integrity. Jerry Johnson and Scott Jensen do not. My first call to the dealership was on July 25th, 2023. I had been searching high and low for a very specific vehicle, at a very specific price point with very specific assets. I had found such a vehicle in a 2016 Lincoln MKX. VIN: 2LMTJ8LR2GBL81149. This was the stock number, the URL address for vehicle (which now does not exist because it was sold on me without any forewarning at all) and the CatFax URL for the vehicle: #PB20202, *********************************************************************************************************** *************************************************************************************** Between the dates of July 25th, 2023 at 12:05 PM & today, August 5th, 2023 (11 days) I have made many phone calls & messages to see what the state of the vehicle was as they were repairing a blemish on the Vehicle. Jerry Johnson told me he would inform me as soon as it was done.He did not. It was apparently sold as soon as the paint was dry to someone else. My attempts at communicating were very consistent. My calls weren't returned. F- Find better!
