    I have a 40-year-old SoundScreen(TM) White ***** Machine and was looking for a second one for my new baby's room. The old one is nearly silent, has no rattling sound, and blocks out external noise (from the street, etc.) 99%. I went looking on the web for a new one and only found **** brand, which I bought and found to be absolute junk: rattling noise from the fan and it blocks out maybe 20% of sound, but just by being a noisy distraction machine. When I saw SoundScreen(TM) on the *** website, I readily coughed up $90 including shipping for the real thing. However, I received a **** machine in the mail. I called the *** Salesperson, *****************, who told me the **** were the only white noise machines available and that "they are the same machine [as the SoundScreen(TM)]." They are absolutely NOT the same machine (as described above), and I was furious I had been duped out of $90 for a piece of junk that I already bought for $25 on another website. The website and the packaging list both clearly state SoundScreen(TM) - with the trademark(TM) ***** indicating that is the promised brand. It is fraud to advertise one product and supply another, cheaper, inferior product at a more expensive price. No refund/return options were offered when I called to explain what I thought was a mistake and turned out to be the company's routine practice (fraud).
