      2023 March
      Offer was $34 furnace tuneup on a 12 year old carrier
      Nice young man showed up.
      Using a camera cord he said he took pictures and then”secondary heat exchanger” had CRACK and could be leaking gas. Recommended his boss also look at it. Boss wanted to come and sell me a new furnace in 2 days.
      Called carrier who gave me a list of warranty dealers. One estimate for new furnace $8K + and repair is unknown
      Concerned about a gas leak, I called center point energy. Technician said no gas leaks and I showed pictures of furnace Service Today took
      “These are NOT from a carrier furnace” center point energy
      I canceled Service Today 2nd appointment

      I called to have my tankless water heater serviced. It is an old brand and I talked to the dispatcher about wanting someone who knew how to service this brand. He assured me they had someone.
      The guy that came out did not have the equipment needed with him, and did not seem to be clear on what needed to be done. He was pleasant and apologized alot. I won't be trying this company again.

      Have to pay a hefty diagnostic fee just to tell me what’s wrong! Starts at $200. Ridiculous so I’m calling a different electrician.

      We were told by Service Today that our furnace needed to be replaced because the return venting was too small and that we needed a new blower motor and a new capacitor. I paid Standard Heating to come to get a second opinion and was told that the furnace is 100% fine and that they were just trying to upsell **. In fact, our furnace was still under warranty.
