On January 10, 2025, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The Consent Order settles allegations that the business failed to provide sufficient information to show compliance with Standard 1 of the Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (USPAP) by neglecting to summarize the information analyzed and the reasoning that supports the analyses, opinions, and conclusions; a violation of USPAP Standards Rule (SR) 2-2 (a)(x)(5) (2020), Minn. Stat. §§ 82B.195, subd. 1, and 82B.20, subd. 2(5)(13) (2024); ailed to analyze the previous sale of the subject property, a violation of USPAP SR 2-2 (a)(x)(3) (2020), Minn. Stat. §§ 82B. 195, subd. 1, and 82B.20, subd. 2(5)(13) (2024) and failed to maintain a work file to support the appraisal report, a violation of USPAP Record Keeping Rule (2020) and Minn. Stat. § 82B.071, subd. 2(2024).
Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to pay a civil penalty of $1,500.00; investigative fees of $720.00 and complete additional education courses within 90 days. The business also agreed to cease and desist from violating any laws, rules and orders under the authority of Minnesota Department of Commerce. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link.
