On February 1, 2024, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(8)(9); 326B.33, subds. 1,2,212,14,15,16 and 326B.36 (2022). Under terms of the Order, the business agreed to hire and compensate a Minnesota licensed electrical contractor(s) to file electrical permits and pay all permit and investigative fees for Minnesota jobs where the business performed electrical work as per information provided to DLI. The business also agreed that before March 29,2024, the hired electrical contractor(s) will review and correct the unlicensed electrical work and/or low voltage work and schedule required inspections. The business also agreed to cease and desist performing or offering to perform electrical and/or technology systems work and to direct or allow anyone to perform electrical or technology systems work at their facility unless the individual holds a master or journeyworker license. The business will also pay $8,000.00 of a $12,000.00 fine, with the balance stayed on the condition that they fully comply with the terms of the Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
