      Well, this was disappointing, to say the very least. I ordered a bouquet of flowers 2 days ago for my cousin on her birthday, which is today. Funds are tight atm, so I thought "Thrifty" florist would be the way to go. Boy was I wrong. It was bad enough that a $25 dollar bouquet turned into $55 by the time they added all their fees and taxes. But they had the nerve to wait until TODAY at 2 PM to call me and let me know that my cousin is out of their delivery area so it is an extra $24. When I objected, the person I spoke with told me (with a snooty tone in her voice) that it is on their fine print that deliveries out of their area cost more. OK, well first of all, they need to develop a system on their website that - when you enter the delivery address - it should tell you right away that area will cost more. Secondly, WHY would they wait until 2 pm on the day of to call me????As if all of that isn't bad enough, here is the final insult - she let me know they might not be able to deliver it today. WHAT? I said, well, I'm not paying another $24 just to have it delivered a day late. So, she put me on hold to check, and came back and said the person left for the day.This is absolutely shoddy customer service. Had I known any of this I would have went with any other florist. So, I recommend to you that you avoid ordering anything from "Thrifty" florist. They are NOT "Thrifty" and they clearly don't care if the flowers are delivered on time. I will never order from this company again.

      I ordered a plant through Thrifty Florist on line through their website for a family friend whom just lost her husband. The plant the recipient received was not the plant I paid for. I spoke with management concerning the issue and was told that they do not fulfill the orders and that orders are sent out to a flower shop that delivers where I needed the plant to go. It turns out that the flower shop that Thrifty went through didn't have the ceramic pot that the plant came with. I wasn't notified that my order couldn't be fulfilled and the shop sent a plant with a totally different pot and decor that I definitely didn't approve of. Their resolution was to pick the plant back up from the grieving wife in order to get a refund. Management didn't care that this issue could have been avoided if I was notified that the plant I ordered would not be delivered because the flower shop who is to send the plant didn't have it. I would have just canceled the order. So, I feel the companies did what they wanted to do to make money. I am very displeased in their communication process with their affiliates and I feel like I was made to buy something that I would not have never picked out in the first place. Thrifty Florist
