On 7/2/24, I hired Elite Tree Service to do yard clean up after a neighbors huge oak tree dropped a branch and left debris in my yard and damaged two of my fences. While quoting the clean up, I had Elite quote the trimming of my own large oak tree to avoid another incident. Elite suggested waiting until fall to do the trimming but there was one very large branch that was completely dead and posing an immediate threat to my fences, yard and RV parked in my yard. The quoted price was agreed upon and service was scheduled for the next day. The crew arrived as scheduled and proceeded to clean up the debris and begin trimming the oak tree. The large branch that they were hired for did not get cut and I was told that I needed to have my electric company cut that branch as it was over the primary electric wires. There were also many higher branches that were not cut which I brought to *****' attention of Elite and was told they weren't big enough to cause any damage. I paid in full expecting the utility company to complete the job but they reviewed the branch and said they were not responsible for trimming that branch and to call my tree company. Since then, I have communicated and scheduled many times (at least five different dates) that ***** committed to coming out to do the service but he never shows up. At this point, I have had another tree company quote the job to complete and they quoted $700. I want Elite to either complete the job that I paid over $1,000 for (I paid $3000 for the clean up and tree trimming in total, of which I know at least $1000 was for the tree), or refund me the money needed to hire another company. My last message with ***** was this option, refund me $700 or get it done and he now is not responding at all. I am a senior citizen living on Social Security and do not have the money to pay another company to do what I paid Elite Tree Service to do. Please help.
