- Advertising Review:
On December 27, 2023, BBB requested that the company substantiate, modify, or discontinue its advertising claims advertised on the company’s website. The website advertises “3 year warranty”, and “best price for the best job GUARANTEED”. As of January 31, 2024, the business has failed to respond to BBB’s requests.
The BBB Code of Advertising Section 12. Lowest Price, Underselling Claims states, “Despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims. Advertisers must have proper substantiation for all claims prior to dissemination. Unqualified underselling claims must be avoided."
According to the BBB Code of Advertising Section 20. Warranties or Guarantees, when an advertisement references a warranty or guarantee, “the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale which could include putting it on the seller’s website. Advertisers should disclose any material limitations on a "satisfaction guarantee" or "money back guarantee" and define, for consumers, the meaning of claims such as "lifetime guarantee."
