  **** was paid roughly $40,000 for a three stall equine barn with hay lofts. The building quality described in the sales pitch does not even remotely align with the final product that was delivered. Wooden swing doors are simply stapled together. They are flat out falling apart with no abuse. Are the door hinges lined up?Door hinges dont line up, rendering door latches useless. **** blamed this on uneven concrete (although it was lasered during day of pour.) Variances in concrete are acceptable building practices when combined with appropriate shimming. **** decided to use miscellaneous concrete form stakes that I had in my yard for shimsIs the exterior metal trim cut wrong? Exterior trim is finished completely wrong. Obvious lack of knowledge with cutting/installing interior/exterior steel and trim. Exterior steel varies in length +-2 across building. **** agreed to build hay lofts at each end. The 2 ply 2x4s used are completely inadequate and deflection due to the weight is down right scary. Miscellaneous s**** holes throughout entire interior due to negligence in measuring and missing studs with screws. Garage doors dont close, due to having a 4x4 and 2x4 stacked in all entry ways, thus rendering them useless. Ceiling in tack room doesnt line up whatsoever. Stall lights didnt work, and tripped breakers due to screws being ran through the wiring during final assembly. I can see daylight through the barn peaks. Building was ordered early summer, paid in full in July with promised august delivery. Delivery was finalized months later, thus we paid out of pocket for additional boarding fees, hay storage, etc. roughly $6,000 out of pocket additional expenses.

  My wife and I attempted to purchase three buildings from Stubborn Rebel Farms. We paid in full for the buildings up front, and when the buildings were not ready as he had originally promised, I went to check on the status of the building. He then decided that he was not going to provide me the buildings at all. And never even returned my money. We sued and have won, but during the lawsuit he opened up a new company, and it appears to me that he is trying to shift all of his assets into the new company so he will not have to pay on the judgment. We not only are out the $29,100 that we had to pay, but have had to spend thousands of dollars in attorney fees, as he refused to admit that he owed us the money, and even counter-sued us. He of course lost on summary judgment meaning that we did not even need a trial to determine that he owed us money and that is counter-claim was meritless. We will make every effort to collect on the judgment, but that it costly as well. I would recommend that you stay far away from doing business with this man. The money we paid was my wife's inheritance, and he has just taken this money and given us nothing in return. And despite a judgment, he has done nothing to even attempt to make us whole on the judgment. Stubborn Rebel took their ******** page down and replaced it with *********************** They posted on ******** "Since *********************** (once we fix the typo ha-ha) has taken over, we want to reassure all of our wonderful customers. Stubborn Rebel has decided to just become a ********************** and Modern Shed is a distribution Center for them.
